Realism and immersion were important things that I wanted to integrate into the concept, so I'm glad it went across well. It also means a lot to me to hear that you felt understood 🩷 

I wanted MC's inner thoughts to be general enough that the players can still relate, but not loose enough that they don't mean anything. It took a long time for me to build, and I remember telling myself that I hope at least one person can feel seen by them.

One of the reasons I made LD was because I rarely find any VNs that suit my personal tastes in terms of depth and deliberation. I made it in hopes that it could fill that gap and reach other people who would like to play a game like this. 

I was worried at first because I know a lot of players in the romance VN sphere prefer simpler, less philosophical VNs (totally valid!), but it makes me happy to know my art can reach the right audience.

Exactly. MC does things outside of normal rationality because of the concept of mental/moral degradation building up and leading towards the E3/E4 branch. There being no option of turning back is due both to time restrictions on my end and wanting to strengthen the concept.

Also, it's less about being a bird, since it's not due to male centrism per se, but rather to MC's loneliness, curiosity, and attachment.

After the Stage 2 mark, choose all 4 options that show your interest in finding out more about Chao, including the kiss. Choose:

1. Dig deeper

2. They want to tell you something

3. There's something more

4. Kiss him/Let him kiss you

It'll automatically lead you to the branch leading to ending 3 and 4. "Pick your poison" is the line I used when you reach this part :) Enjoy!
