This was very confusing, but in a good way? I liked the minimalist artstyle. I would have enjoyed it more if there were some more clear indicators or landmarks to help me understand that I was making progress.

I liked the simplicity of the levels and art. Good job!

queble jam 2026

I was only able to get the monkey headline on day 5. The UI was clean and easy to navigate. I also enjoyed the sound effects which created the old-timey newspaper vibe. The headlines and subtexts made a lot more sense when I looked at the spreadsheet after haha. I think if the number of words to choose from was lessened for each headline or if there was some sort of hint (besides the newspaper picture), it would have been a better experience. It was overwhelming with how many words I had to look through. Good job overall!

Thank you for your honest feedback! I only had one other person test it, but they were testing it as I was developing it so they likely had the same bias I had in understanding the controls. I made the mistake of reducing the timer at the last moments before submission because I thought it was too easy. Obviously I had just played the game a lot. I should have shown on the screen that the A and D keys could be used for rotation since, I agree, the arrow keys don't make since when using the mouse and pressing the space bar. I'll make sure to get more play testers for my future games.

I like the groovy music and the thoughtful sound effects (like the sound of a book having its pages flipped through). I was surprised by how easy it was to orient and place the books given the limited control of a mouse. How does the book know to orient itself upright? Is a physics joint used?

I probably made this more difficult than it needed to be by using a mousepad. It was very addictive, frustrating, yet fun at the same time. Well done!

Amazing level of polish! The graphics fit so well together! I love the little pop-up ads which require timed input to close.

Thank you for letting me know! I just uploaded it as a zip file with .pck file.

I agree with what polysteve said about how a teleporting animation would be nice. Also I think a score counter would have been a good addition. Overall, I like the mechanic and the presentation. Good work!

Great idea and execution for a 3 hour game! I agree with the other person that the spikes could stand out a little bit more.

The falling, spinning, and aiming makes me think of an action movie or Call of Duty trickshot montage lol. Cool idea. I agree about the camera issues though you can't ask for much given the small time frame so I wouldn't stress about it.

Good job! To make the game a little easier/less frustrating at the start, you could start with a slow fall speed and slowly ramp it up.

Awesome music and level design!

I'm guessing that's what it is. I too couldn't complete the first level. I ran out of fuel even when I followed the same path that Whateep did in his playthrough.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I kept lowering the time limit because I was completing the levels too easily not realizing that that was because I made the levels and had played them multiple times through lol. Lesson learned to have other people playtest :)
