Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
This project was made by a team of five during ThatGameJam #1, hosted by ThatGameCompany that ran between December 20, 2025 - January 4, 2026. The theme was an image with two hands reaching out to each other, with a small gap in the middle. We were inspired to create a visual novel exploring that gap. Forming new relationships can be exciting, uncertain, and even scary. Through our story, we wanted to show how overcoming that initial fear and making connections with others can result in unexpected friendships that empower us to do things we can’t do alone.

i got jumpscared qwqq, made my head hurt lolSuch an adorable bedtime story—so clever and whimsical! The art style, the wording, and the overall color palette are wonderfully cohesive, combining to create a marvelous underwater castle. It’s so soothing and heartwarming!!!
Beautiful. Great job.
My first thought was "Wait, how is there a TV underwater?"
My next thought was "Wait, a toaster in the water, oh no..."
And now I'm like dang, I loved Rosalina's Storybook too ðŸ˜
Great usage of fonts to differentiate characters!
Haha, thanks for playing!! Yeah we were going off of Spongebob logic hehe
This is just amazing and wholesome storytelling...! Love the endings, I think I unlocked only 3 out of 4 though, lol.
Absolute beauty. You could just tell and feel how much love went into this. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and artwork. The feeling it gave perfectly captured emotions from the theme and that environment piece near the end man. So good.
I especially love the art in the final ending sequence, really lovely
Such lovely story and beautiful art!! Great job!
This game is beautiful! I did all the endings except for the one where she doesn't go to the surface. I love the Super Mario Galaxy game screen and the incorporation into the story, and the shooting star scene gave me chills! Great job!
Loved it! Art style, music, story. All felt really cute and cohesive.

I particularly loved the music, what a sweet cute game!
