Beyond the stages, the Community Block brings the night to life with interactive art, live performances, and family-friendly experiences. From puppetry and brass bands to visual art and Afro-Brazilian rhythms, this space is where generations meet and LA’s creative spirit shines.

Midnight Countdown Spectacle
As midnight arrives, City Hall becomes the stage for NYELA’s countdown to 2026. Created by A3 Visual, the projection reflects The Power of One, tracing how a single moment can grow into collective movement as we welcome the new year together.

Guests may enter the event through three specially marked park entrances:
- Olive Street and 1st Street
- Hill and Temple Street
- Hill and 1st Street
- Main Street and 1st Street

Coming from out of the city, we got you! Be sure to check out Metrolink for all routes into DTLA, steps away from the biggest celebration of the year.

Getting There
Planning to arrive by car? The ADA accessible entrance for easy drop-off and pick-up is located near the corner of Temple Street and Hill Street.
ADA Entrance
There are specially designated lanes at the entrances for patrons with disabilities. Look for “ADA Express” signs above the accessible entrance lanes or ask a team member to direct you to the lanes.
Accessible Viewing Platforms
For accessible viewing locations, please refer to the event map. Block 2 (between Grand Ave / Hill St.) offers two ADA-compliant restrooms within the viewing area.
American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreted Performances
Gloria Molina Grand Park’s NYELA will provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted music performances for patrons who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The ASL interpreters are located on the right side of the stage with a designated viewing area in front of the interpreter.
Where can I find accessible restrooms?
Accessible portable toilets are available at each restroom bank of portable toilets throughout the park. Please refer to the event map (to be announced).

Public parking will be available at the main Music Center garage (135 N. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012) and in The Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall garage (111 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012) at a flat rate of $10 per vehicle.
Given the large number of guests expected at the event, members of the public are highly encouraged to take public transportation. Gloria Molina Grand Park is located conveniently at the Civic Center/Grand Park station along the Metro B Line (Red) and D Line (Purple). Additionally, the park is easily accessible by taking Metro’s brand new Regional Connector to the Grand Av Arts/Bunker Hill, Historic Broadway and Little Tokyo/Arts District stops along the Metro A Line (Blue) and E Line (Expo).
It’s all ages! Gloria Molina Grand Park’s NYELA Countdown to 2026 is free and open to all ages. We invite everyone to celebrate and be a part of this incredible event. Pets are welcome too!

Yes. Gloria Molina Grand Park’s NYELA is a rain or shine event. Programming will continue as scheduled.
We recommend dressing warmly and bringing a light rain jacket or poncho. Only umbrellas 12 inches or smaller (when collapsed) are allowed. Larger ones will need to stay home to keep everyone’s view clear!
