Can you be more specific? What is the problem?
Maybe you can share some screenshots of your current browser?

Hey @DennisBell
For sure, we want to improved users' life with tab management in the future.
Thanks for sharing this interesting idea!
@oiurys
I don't have currently any predictions.
What I meant by "in some way" it might also mean developing better solution for increasing productivity than tab islands.
The issue with background you reported will be fixed in upcoming weeks.
There will be many other improvements related to the UI.
I can also share we entered stage in which we're satisfied with "forced dark mode"
As always, I will let you know once it will be released.
Thanks for feedback!
Are you referring to this player:
Is it visible for a moment when you scroll down?
As this one, is not a part of the boost, it's something else.
or do you refer to sidebar miniplayer visible for a second when entering the boosts?
Hi Everyone,
We're glad you're playing with dark UI!
Currently, the nights are getting longer, so we wanted to share interface changes related to the most popular parts of the browser. However, more updates are coming and we'll gradually keep updating other areas.
Keep sending your feedback. Let us know what you like and what could be improved.
1. force dark mode on all pages option is missing
That is correct. Force dark mode comes from chromium and requires more research from our side. We have reports that suggest such feature might cause flashes or other strange behavior. So we want to make sure to keep the browser healthy before adding it.
2. transparent wallpapers on speed dial have white background not gray like in regular opera
I'm afraid I don't understand what do you mean by "transparent wallpapers". Could be so kind and share some screenshots?
3. active tab is not gray, just the icon of a tab turns gray
Tabs and visibility of active tab will be part of upcoming improvements. It won't be gray, but it will be more clear which tab is the active tab.
4. Tab Islands this year
Under research. However, we don't expect to have it this year.
5. will you implement chrome 140 flag to reduce white flashes : CSS caret-animation property
Also under research. Might be a part of upcoming improvements but can't promise that.
@opera-browser-user
Thank you for such kind words.
We'll make sure to support you, and other users, on this journey
As @TomaszStawarz noted, some areas still need adjustments, but we wanted to share the most common parts with you right away.
We're glad you like it, guys! If you'd like to support us, please share AIR with anyone who might enjoy it or was waiting for dark mode. We understand that you might sometimes feel things are missing or delivered late, but please know that we carefully read and consider all your feedback.
Enjoy!

Keep an eye for upcoming announcements in September. I'm sure you'll like it
BTW can you share which plugins did you use? I was trying Night eye and Dark Reader.
Apologies for a late reply.

Hey!
There are blog post worth mentioning that are not related to a specific release. I'll keep you updated about them in a separate thread.
Here's one of them, enjoy!

It's not a part of current roadmap. This is something that might be developed, but there are no plans for it yet. If we start working on it, we will let you know.
