@leocg I've just noticed another issue, which helps to explain some if not all of the issues that I've already reported here: The pop-up calendar in the "Pick the date" feature in History is showing today's date, Sep 19, as Saturday, when it's actually Friday.

RE: After update, History not allowing "Today"General
@burnout426 said in After update, History not allowing "Today":
If I click "pick the date" under "Filter by date" and set it to October 8th and click "Done", history that happened today on the 8th shows,
When I use the "Filter by Date" feature today (Wednesday, October 8), the result on the right is Tuesday, October 7. Wrong!
Bottom line: These History issues have not been fixed.

RE: After update, History not allowing "Today"General
@andrew84 Thank you, but the thread that you linked to doesn't -- as far as I can tell -- refer to the same problem that I've reported in this thread, which is:
@Inquiro said in After update, History not allowing "Today":
History is defaulting to "Recently closed" and is not allowing me to choose "Today" (which is grayed out) in the Navigation pane.
Your post link to the other thread refers to History showing the wrong date, which is a problem that I also experienced at the time that I started this thread, but it is not the History problem that I reported above and am still waiting to see fixed or at least officially acknowledged by Opera staff.
To put this somewhat differently, History lists "Recently closed" at the top of the page and immediately follows that group with "Yesterday". There is no section in the right side of the History window for "Today", and visited pages that actually are from today are showing up under "Yesterday".
Also, I don't see any statements by Opera in the thread that you linked to that refer to the specific problem that I've reported here.
Thanks again for your interest in my problem. If I've misunderstood something, please let me know.

RE: After update, History not allowing "Today"General
So today my Opera browser announced (yet again) that History had been "redesigned". But the "Today" feature is still not functional, and I am still waiting for some kind of information from Opera to be posted here.
I've not visited this forum in years. Will someone please tell me whether it is reasonable to expect an Opera staffer to respond to this thread with any kind of information regarding the status of this problem? Or is that simply not going to happen? Is expecting any kind of response from Opera staff here going to be like Waiting for Godot?

RE: After update, History not allowing "Today"General
The problem still exists. I'm not expecting that it be fixed immediately, but can anyone here say whether Opera staff are likely to be making a statement in this thread about this issue or the timing of the fix?

@andrew84 Thank you. To be clear, I'm still looking for Opera to fix this, but until then the workaround is helpful.

RE: After update, History not allowing "Today"General
@burnout426 Yep, that's the same for me---my history for today is shown as having occurred yesterday in the main History pane.

After update, History not allowing "Today"General
After an update this morning, History is defaulting to "Recently closed" and is not allowing me to choose "Today" (which is grayed out) in the Navigation pane.
Also, even when I choose the "Show more" button in "Recently closed", websites that I've visited today do not appear.
Why is this happening? What can be done to fix this?
