When I hover over the tab, usually, I get the X to close it. But, sometimes, it will not give me the X. I can try over and over, without success. It might offer me a +, instead. I have to pick another tab, get it it offer an X, then slip back to the one I want to close to get the X. I am running Windows 11 (worse luck, absolute worst OS I have ever used).

Here is another, similar, thing. I click on a tab to open it and it disappears!, as if I had clicked the X. A whole big issue to get back to where I was as there seems no 'reopen tab just closed' facility. -
