Fixed it by changing the value of ScanWithAntivirus to 1, just like the post said.

Scan your system with the fresh version of Malwarebytes to see if it gets rid of the malware and the extension.

@drummerbio Did a quick search and it seems to be an advertising site, maybe one used by Hulu.

@questionadora It would be easier to figure out if we could see a screenshot of the dialog asking for the permission and the context of its appearance.

@banshior I have the same problem, I had to uninstall Opera because otherwise it doesn't work at all if I can't run any search with it. Have you been able to solve it somehow?

@sgunhouse, @yanta I googled more about this "preinstall data2" and found out it is an adware, not a malware, and I just remembered that a year back I did block this app's notifications because it was spamming random ads on my notification bar, it all makes sense now, I'm impressed this app found a way to annoy me again 1 year later by other means, I decided to force stop it and deactivate it yesterday, opera didn't open itself ever since, I guess it's solved.

Or maybe something you got on WhatsApp.

@spartanwarrior If you don't know then you probably aren't using but take a look at the settings page.

A. It is not a problem, and B. if it were a problem it is in a cache file - go to Setting and empty your cache and it is gone.
