How to Disable Auto Update on OSX

This pops up from time-to-time. We use Opera on a computer at my home that displays family photos via flickr. It's annoying when OSX prompts for an update for the browser. I've disabled all other Mac related updates. I would like to know if there is a way to turn this off on a Mac? Perhaps a terminal set of commands or script?
