Finding hope and peace through writing, art, photography, and faith in Jesus.

I am a woman who has faced many storms in this life, and have had my ups and downs, but the One who has gotten me this far is Jesus. He loves me so much He died for me, and everything he suffered for my sake makes my pain and suffering seem so much smaller. Now I just want to share with others all He has done for me, and hope I encourage at least one person with what I share.
I am not asking this question to dismiss how others feel, it is just that the word truth seems to have lost its meaning. Scripture tells us that Jesus is the Truth, the Light, and the Way. In Ephesians truth is a sword. i can go on but I am more interested in learning what your thoughts on the subject are.
I enjoy looking up into the night sky and seeing the moon. I remember as a child being told the moon was made of cheese, and about the man in the moon. These are just made-up stories. The moon is not made of cheese and there is no man in the moon. I remember the scene in Angels in the outfield, when the little boy looking up at a crescent moon said that it was Godsâ fingernail.
The moon is just a natural satellite that orbits the earth. It does not have air, and no life is found in it. It does not even produce the light we see. It reflects the light from the sun, and depending on where it is in itsâ orbit of the earth determines how much of the sunâs light is reflected. We call these phases of the moon, from new moon to full moon.
When I think about this, I am reminded of how we reflect the light of Jesus. The sun does not move. All the planets in our solar system rotate around it. Then all but two planets in that system have moons that orbit them, the earth having only one moon. Now think about any time when you might have heard someone say that God seems so far away. It is not God that has moved, but he person who has moved away from God. Then like the moon when it looks like a crescent or any other phase when it is not full. It has not changed itâs size but the light from the sun is being partially blocked by the earth. People can do the same thing when they choose the things of this world and allow these things to get between them and Jesus. I know I am not a moon but if I were, my desire is to be a full moon, always basking in His light.
Hello my dear friends, sometimes ago I have wrote a series of âWoman of faithâ Few days ago my husband said that seems incomplete if I donât write about âThe Man of faithâ So this post and the following posts will talk about some bible figures who known as âMan of faithâ Anyway, all [âŚ]
There are a few reasons that I’m sharing Karina’s post. The first is she has shared a good message on Abraham. Then I listened to a message today that made a comparison of Abraham and Moses, and since it’s the beginning of the year I’m reading through the Bible and I’m currently in the book of Genesis. So that’s why her post stood out today and why I’m sharing it. I hope you enjoy it.
I’m thankful for so many things, and I’ve kept a gratitude journal for a few years now so that I remember to start my day thankful for all that I have been blessed with. One thing I’m thankful for is all of you. You have lifted me up with your kind and encouraging words. Your posts that have both educated me and encouraged me, your kind and encouraging comments. You have all been a blessing to me in one way or another, and for this I am thankful.
The fireworks have ended and the new year has begun. The moon is bright in the night sky. May the light of the Lord shine bright on us all and may His blessings be abundant.
My phone may not take the best photos, but I saw the moon in the sky this afternoon and thought about how I was looking at the last view of the moon for the year 2025. Tomorrow it will be fuller and a new year will have begun. My prayer for the New Year is, [âŚ]
