FAQ
Q: What should I do about an “Invalid References on INV” error? A: The reference invoice number or invoice line number is incorrect. Check and correct the reference invoice details, then reprocess.
Q: Why did I get “Invalid INV. INV belongs to Material Right Contract”? A: An invoice is associated with a Material Right contract line, which isn’t allowed. Remove the invoice information from the Material Right line.
Q: How do I resolve a “Bill Amount is incorrect” error? A: The bill amount is wrong. Validate the amount on the bill and correct it before reprocessing.
Q: What does “Original Credit Memo does not exist or already Cancelled” mean? A: You attempted to cancel a credit memo using reference details that don’t match an existing, active credit memo. Re-upload the cancellation with the correct reference details.
Q: How do I fix “Original Invoice does not exist or already Cancelled” or “Original Invoice does not exist”? A: A credit memo references an invoice that doesn’t exist or was already cancelled. Correct the reference invoice details in your upload and reprocess.
Q: Why am I seeing “Invalid INV. SO not present in System”? A: The invoice references a Sales Order (SO) that isn’t in the system. Reprocess the file using a valid, existing SO number.
Q: How do I resolve “CM cannot be processed as INV is in error”? A: You’re processing a Credit Memo (CM) against an invoice currently in an error state. Fix the invoice error first; once the invoice processes successfully, submit the CM.
Q: What causes “Cumulative bill amount is over sell price”? A: Total invoiced value for the subscription exceeds the sell price, and over-billing isn’t allowed. Go to Profiles → Overage and enable the overage setting (if appropriate for your policy).
