Had a lovely first evening in London.
Visited Spitalfields market and did some browsing but the main event was our delicious meal at Dishoom Shoreditch in the evening. Great food and ambiance. Over Christmas they do an alcoholic chai egg nog which is one of the tastiest drinks I’ve ever had!

Soulshine Cafe & Restaurant : Bridport
On Saturday we had gone to Bridport as my Son wanted to trade in some clothes at a local thrift store. Unfortunately, even though the store was supposed to open at 10am, it was closed when we got there 😕
We decided to wait to see if the owner was running late, and decided to have breakfast at a local cafe my eldest son had raved about by the name of Soulshine.
What a treat this place turned out to be!
I know there’s at least two people on my timeline heading to Japan within the next few weeks. When you get there, check the konbini’s for these. You won’t be dissapointed. 😋 They are delicious

Booked annual leave as work has been a bit full on over the past couple of weeks. Lots of very large technical planning and strategising.
I have some major work coming up next weekend as well so I just need a day to tap out and clear my mind.

A day in Lyme Regis
Half Term is done with and the kids are back at school today, but I’d taken a long weekend off from work and myself and my wife went to Lyme Regis to do some fossil digging, roaming and eating. We didn’t find anything breathtaking, just some small partial ammonite’s and sea glass, but it was fun to roam around the beach. there’s a beautiful desolation to this beach with its slowly crumbling Jurassic rock, rusted remains of random machinery and sea water.
Cooked my world famous* (*To me and my two boys) Giant meatballs and spaghetti today 😋 🍝
A simple meal but always well received.
Pasta with broccoli sauce tonight. Was a success! Even the kids liked it 😊
Home fried Baja fish tacos with home made curtido cabbage relish and chipotle crema.
