FAKE BOBBY REVEALED!

There's a Fake Bobby Nash Facebook page out there sending out friend requests. It is not me. If you get a friend request from me, please delete it.

I have reported it, changed passwords, and all the other tedious nonsense required when this crap happens.

I only have 2 Facebook pages. My personal page and my Author page. The same information is posted to both. The personal page has reached its maximum friend limit.

AN EVIL INTENT EXCERPT...

Author Jeremy Hicks tagged me in a status and now i have to post 7 lines after the 7th line on page 7 from my current work in progress "Evil Intent" Okay, I'll play. Here's mine:

The brave men and women Donnie Lehmann had fought shoulder to shoulder with in the hot desert sands of countries that he wished he couldn’t find on a map had died for freedom and liberty and here they were just handing it away to evil men with evil agendas. Donnie Lehmann saw all of it happening and wanted to help. He loved his country and wanted to keep it safe.

There was a quote he had learned once. “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” He couldn’t remember who had said it, especially in his current state, but the words rang true.

Donnie Lehmann saw the evil happening to the country he loved.

And he would do something about it.

###

And the rules that got us here:

Go to page 7 or 77 in your current WIP.
Go to line 7
Post on your facebook page/blog the next 7 sentences or 7 lines—as they are!
Tag 7 people to do the same.

This was a fun little experiment.
I hope you enjoyed the excerpt.

Of course, I can't let you get out of here without reminding you that Evil Ways is still on sale. Get yours today!

EVIL WAYS
A novel by Bobby Nash

FBI Agent Harold Palmer needed a relaxing vacation. All he wanted was to travel to Sommersville, Georgia to visit his brother, newspaper publisher and reporter, Franklin Palmer. He should have known better.

The graduating class of 2002 have returned to Sommersville for their ten year high school reunion, timed to coincide with the annual Sommersville Autumn Festival.  Classmates coming from all over to reconnect, retell old stories, and have a great time reminiscing.

The discovery of a brutally murdered young lady with a connection to the local police, coupled with a rowdy high school reunion and the annual Autumn Festival has Sommersville Sheriff Tom Myers and his deputies overwhelmed.

Agent Palmer finds himself on the trail of a killer who preys on the fears of his victims. His next targets are the unsuspecting members of the reunited class of ‘02.

NEW EVIL WAYS ADS

I was playing around with some new Evil Ways ad ideas that could also work as a cover image on my Facebook page. What do you think? Do these work for you? Would they make you curious to check out the book?

Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Evil Ways is still on sale in paperback and ebook formats. The information on the novel is below if you would like to learn more.

MY GAME PLAYING DAYS ARE OVER!

I worked on some advertisements for my Deadly Games! novel. I liked how the Quoting Evil ads for Evil Ways worked out so I used that as the basis for these ads. As with the Evil Ways ads, I left an empty space for these to work as Facebook cover photos at my page and my author page.

What do you think?

About FRONTIER:
A sci fi collection by Bobby Nash

Frontier collects 9 sci fi short stories from Bobby Nash, author of Earthstrike Agenda, Evil Ways, and Deadly Games! Some of the rare tales presented in Frontier are reprints and others are in print there for the first time. The stories that make up Frontier happen on Earth, on alien planets, and in the deepest recesses of space. There’s action, adventure, horror, and even a little romance.

Stories included in Frontier:

SAMARITAN
In deepest space, a research vessel rescues a survivor who asks to be returned home. The catch: her planet lies at the center of a black hole.

DREAMWEAVER
Nathanial “Doc” Dresden wakes up in space, free floating above the moon. But he is not alone.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE MONSTERS GONE?
Nathanial “Doc” Dresden and his team investigate bizarre happenings.

MIDWAY
A meteor storm damages Midway station, a museum storage facility and frees an ancient creature from its icy tomb.

JUST ANOTHER SATURDAY ON OUTPOST 9
When war breaks out between neighboring worlds, the Outpost 9 space station is caught in the crossfire. Dr. Erin Moonshadow tries to save lives as chaos reigns around her.

THE DROP
War. Ground troops are dispatched. Dropped from their starship, the troop transport is attacked and one of the soldiers is lost. Then things get strange.

NIGHTMARE IN AMBER
Are a young man’s dreams of an interstellar war a product of his imagination or a prophecy of things to come?

THE GARDEN
A survey crew discovers a veritable Garden of Eden. Is this paradise or is there a serpent in hiding, waiting to strike?

A JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY
A one-page story that was doubled as an advertisement for a convention where Bobby was a guest. A fun experiment.

Illustrations in Frontier are by Bobby Nash and Jeff Austin.

EVIL INTENT'S PAGE 77 EXCERPT

Thanks to Derrick Ferguson for sending this along on Facebook. It was fun so I played along and posted it to my Facebook page and Fan Page. Thought I'd post it here as well.

Bobby

A bit of fun for writers: Go to either page 7 or 77 of your manuscript. Count down 7 lines, then copy the next 7 lines to your status. (We'll call these "sentences.")

Here’s mine.

From Evil Intent:
The biggest concentration of pain was his head. Mostly, this was a result of taking the stocky end of a rifle to the face, but he couldn’t discount that the men arguing nearby were adding to the pain. He was ready to take another hit to the face if it would make them tone it down a little. The medic treating him, a young agent named Amy Lake was taping a bandage to the side of Harold’s head where blood had been pouring only minutes earlier. Between the handful of Ibuprofen and the shot of Lydocain she had given him to deaden the pain, he wasn’t in as much discomfort as before, but he was still a bit off balance. Thankfully, the ground had stopped spinning back and forth like some kind of weird carnival ride so he was able to stand up.

CHECKIN' OFF THE TO-DO LIST!

Despite getting off to a late start and dealing with computer issues (my desktop doesn't like it when I get productive, I guess), I actually managed to accomplish a good deal today. I worked on the Evil Intent novel and added some wordage to that. I also did some production work on Frontier, a collection of sci fi short stories I wrote. If all goes well it will be on sale within a week. A little more to do in the morning on that if the computer will stay on long enough. I also updated not only this site, but my Facebook Author App, and the All Pulp news site.

All in all, it was a good day, but as we roll up on 3 a.m. I think it's time to call it a night.

Sweet dreams.

ODDS 'N ENDS...

A few items I saw on Facebook today that made me chuckle.
Click on the images for a larger view.

As a guy who writes a series of books with the word "Evil" in the title, I wholeheartedly approve this shirt. :)

Oh, I know this circle so well.

And finally, it is my fondest Christmas wish that the ERMAHGERD posts will end.
Seriously.

WAIT, WHAT TIME IS IT?

The clock has just passed 4 a.m. As I type this, Ike and Tina Turner are serenading me to sleep with their rendition of CCR’s Proud Mary. Not a bad way to end the night. Very tired, but I accomplished a lot today. In addition to getting some words down on the Domino Lady novel, which is nearing the finish line. WOO HOO! I also did my usual All Pulp posts, as well as updates to BEN Books, Lance Star, Rick Ruby, and this site.

I also signed a few of my ebooks up for AuthorGraphs, which is a pretty cool way to send electronic autographs for ebooks. I will post a full blog post about AuthorGraphs on Thursday, when I’m a little more lucid.

Plus, as if that wasn’t enough, I also set up the Facebook Author App on my Bobby Nash FB Fan Page. At present Evil Ways, Deadly Games!, and EarthStrike Agenda are posted on the App. Please check it out and let me know how it looks.

I also did some promotion work for the things I set up as well as the latest episode of the Earth Station One podcast.

I did take an hour away from the keyboard and watched the latest episode of Arrow, which continues to impress me. It is my favorite new show of the season and I highly recommend it to anyone. It's good stuff. I just wish the Oliver Queen in the comics was handled as well as in the show.

So, all in all, it was a busy, productive day, but I’m beat so I think it’s time to hit the hay.

Of course, once I lay down I'm sure I'll be wide awake again.

'night, everyone.

BOBBY’S JUNGLE ADVENTURE

Not The Cover!
On the his Facebook page, Pulp 2.0 Press publisher Bill Cunningham posted the following tease about an upcoming project.

“I am putting a book series together called JUNGLE GIRL ADVENTURES featuring photos, comic panels, posters and 3 short stories from Bobby Nash, Ian Watson, and Michael May. It's a celebration of all things jungle girl. It also features a gallery of jungle girl pinup photos from the Donald F. Glut archives. What I have found is that the jungle girl subgenre has a long history in films, tv, comics and pulps -- something that has been forgotten in mainstream media.”

Jungle Girl Adventures features my story, Primal Instincts introduces Dr. Petra Alexander, a new character created specifically for this project. Petra is a scientist who, according to reports has “gone native” in the jungle she now protects and calls home.

Princess Pantha
Bill also posted a cover image of a jungle girl cover, Princess Pantha. I used that image to make a placeholder for the website so I’m sharing it here as well. It is not the actual cover.

Learn more about Pulp 2.0 Press at http://pulp2ohpress.com.

I’ll post more news here when it becomes available.

TO DA MOON, ALICE!

Kudos to all of you who get the reference in the title. With Facebook and Google+ using this timeline style set up on their pages with cover photos I decided it was finally time to update mine. I enjoyed the images that were there, but it was definitely time for something new. To that end, I took the art from the cover of my latest novel, Earthstrike Agenda and repurposed it for the pages. What do you think?

This is a new author photo. Had to do a little digital magic on an older photo to get this just right. Here's a hint, there was no wall behind me in the original and I shifted over the books on the table so these could be cropped to fit the size needs. Ah, the magic of computers.
