Sheri S. Roman was a judge on the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Department. She was nominated to this position since July of 2009.[1][2] She left office on December 31, 2020.[3]

Education

Judge Roman received her B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, her L.L.M. degree in Criminal Justice from New York University, and her J.D. degree from Georgetown Law Center.[1]

Career

Prior to becoming a Judge, Sheri Roman worked for the Bronx District Attorney's Office, where she held various leadership positions. She became a judge on the New York City Criminal Courts in 1985. She then worked from 1995 to 2009 as a Supreme Court Justice on the Queens County Civil and Criminal Terms.[1]
