Finland moves into summer time at 3 AM Sunday morning when the clock is shifted one hour forward. The shift to summer time will bring some interruptions in banking services and affect rail travel. The annual switch to summer, or daylight saving time is established practice within the European Union and takes place on the same day and at the same stroke of the clock in all member countries. In Finland, it takes place at 3 AM local time, Sunday the 30th of March. The shift back to standard time will take place on Sunday the 26th of October. Breaks in Banking Services The start of summer time will cause breaks in the availability of some online banking services and will affect the use of some debit cards. The OP Bank Group's online services will be unavailable between 3 AM and 6 AM, and there may be outages in the availability of its automatic cash dispensers and the use of debit cards it issues. There will be a break in services by Sampo Bank between 2:15 AM and 5:30 AM. Trains to make up time Schedules of both long-distance and commuter trains will be affected by summer time.
