Ava was once a large spruce tree, burned alongside a man accused of witchcraft. You'd think Ava would be at least a little bit vengeful when humans burned her to charcoal like that... but hey, they did provide her with a human body to transfer to!
She always wanted to go see the world anyway, and now that she had legs, nothing was stopping her.

- She made up her own name... She chose "Ava", and then later realized "wait, humans have family names too--" and well, she was a tree once, so... Ava Greenery... also it's a pun on "evergreen" LMAO
- Being immortal and living for so long, she checked out of any perception of time. She doesn't really register how much time passes, and can just chill for hours doing nothing. Somehow she's never bored.
- Her memory is, uh, not good. She remembers what she feels, so she won't forget a friend. She just doesn't always remember the situations which brought her to these conclusions. She's always happy to be reminded, though, and enjoys reliving these happy memories through people retelling them.
- Her hair purposefully covers the right side of her face, where the aftermath of her human vessel's head injury still remains. Her own magic did attempt to repair the damage, and while it doesn't hurt or anything, it uhh, looks like a hollow tree, so... it's just kinda inconvenient having to explain that to people.
