Quick timeline and blab to make sure we're on the same page
- Cain's 1st life: Born in 1798; 1 year older than Orion. He dies in 1828.
- Cain's 2nd life: Born in 1850, as the son of Orion and Alfred.
Inbetween Cain's death and reincarnation, Orion and Alfred have already started the great replacement uhh, ahem! I mean, their happy family of never-ending werewolf litters owo)b Those first few many kids will then come to know Cain as their baby brother.
It's important to note that Orion didn't intend for any romance (or even sex) to happen between her and Cain in his 2nd life. He wasn't supposed to regain any of his past memories.
Some of Cain's siblings would know Orion to have a soft spot for him, and that she's always extra protective of him. But I imagine the thought process kinda like this:
August: Tch... Mom is always giving Cain so much attention.
Bernhard: August... Cain is 3 and he's still having a hard time with the stairs. He'd die without constant attention.
August: Urghhh, you're right, you're right... Whatever!! T_T
Bernhard: If you're lonely, I can scratch you behind the ears.
August: ... R-really?

By then, it's back to a perfectly normal everyday where sex and marriage can be completely separate concepts, and where making your mom bend over is the same level of taboo as giving her a hug. So, not at all taboo, lol...

As you may know, my site is built using 11ty/Eleventy. I'll explain without assuming you're very familiar with it, so maybe it can be useful to others as well.
But long story short; 11ty collections.
July 31, 2025 update: I put together an 11ty starterpack which uses the same setup as explained below! owo)b
general set-up
All my pages start as an .md file, which 11ty then uses to generate the .html file that's published online. Gallery starts as any other page, as an .md file, but it includes a "collection" at the bottom of the page.

That's the whole file. The part that's important is line 16, which tells 11ty to search for all .md files in the art collection.
Using my latest gallery entry, here's what that looks like.

Then, gallery.md fills out line 17 to line 27 with information I specified (posttitle, imageformat, etc.) in all posts tagged art.
Butt!!! Notice how it isn't just tagged with art but also ocOrion and nmocCain? Yeap, that's the trick, LOL... It's in several "collections". That's all there is to it.
Just like gallery.md yoinks posts tagged with art, Orion.md yoinks posts tagged with ocOrion, and Cain.md yoinks posts tagged with nmocCain.

The pages for each world is pretty much built up entirely the same as the gallery. It just uses several collections.
Orion.md is tagged with charainWysteria. Wysteria.md then yoinks all posts tagged with charainWysteria, and smacks them all together under "characters". Meanwhile, it also yoinks all posts tagged with wysteriaWiki and lists them under "wiki" owo)b
adding new posts
Now, to add something to the gallery, I just have to --
- upload 2 images (1 for full view, 1 for the thumbnail)
- make a new
.mdfile - fill it out with info and tags
-- and 11ty does the rest.
