A weak disturbance will move across the area Monday, leading to thick clouds and scattered to widespread virga showers. The best chance for measurable rain (≥0.01") will be across the AZ high terrain with a less than 5% chance across the lower deserts. The graphic shows the probability of at least weak radar echoes, which highlights the areas most likely to at least see virga.
Primarily dry and tranquil conditions will continue this week. Temperatures will generally hover around 5-10 degrees above normal with the warmest readings midweek.
A weather disturbance will move through the region over the weekend. The Climate Prediction Center is showing heightened chances for above normal precipitation during the 6-10 day outlook period. However, there is still uncertainty regarding the exact track and strength of the system, and there is at least a 25% chance Phoenix remains completely dry.
March 2026 climate summary shows that this month was well above normal for temperatures with many records broken at the three climate sites. The heat wave experienced this month put all three climate sites at the top making it the warmest March on record.
