3 of my favorite Beginner Middle Split Stretches

First getting started with Middle Split work is not easy and your Middle Split will hardly improve by focusing exclusively on the end goal.

If a 250lbs deadlift is your goal you also wouldn't be training the actual deadlift. You would be working your way up with less weight. It is exactly the same with your Middle Split. You have to use progressions. Now unfortunately sometimes they are not as clearly visible as in weight training.

Here are 3 progressions for you to use and to incorporate into your Middle Split Journey.

Middle Split Progressions Part 1 😁 Save this for later   • 1️⃣ Supine Frog Abductions - Keeping your knee in line with your hip, let the right knee start to drift over to the right side, letting it lower as much as is comfortable toward the ground, don’t let your hips start to tilt when you drop your knee. Lightly engage the inner thigh to pull the knee back up to start (knee stacked over your hip).  • 2️⃣ Horse Stance - Heel-toe your feet as wide as you can while keeping your knees bent and torso lifted, making sure you use your core and glutes to hold your torso upright.  • 3️⃣ Passive Frog Wall Stretch - Choose the hip position that feels like the deepest stretch for you. Ensure you are sitting back towards the wall, hips & spine neutral.  • 4️⃣ Half Frog Rocks - The end position wi
