 • ½ cup dalia broken wheat
 • 3 tablespoon avocado oil
 • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
 • ½ tablespoon ginger chopped
 • 2 thai bird green chillies adjust to taste
 • ¼ cup carrot diced
 • ¼ cup green beans diced
 • ½ cup tomato chopped
 • ¼ cup green peas
 • 4-5 cauliflower florets cut small
 • ¼ cup corn kernels
 • 1 teaspoon salt
 • 1.5 cup water for IP/Pressure cooking use 1 cup water
 • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 • 2 tablespoon cilantro chopped
 • Ghee for drizzling optional
 • Any kind of nuts you like optional

Recipe:  • 1/2 Cup Ghee (adjust accordingly)  • 1 Cup Dalia/ broken wheat  • 3 Cups hot Water  • 1/4 tsp salt  • 1 Cup Jaggery or sugar  • 1/2 tsp Elaichi powder  • 1/4th tsp Nutmeg Powder  • 1/4 cup Almonds chopped  • - Melt ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Sauté Dalia over low heat for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.  • - Carefully add hot water and salt. Cover and simmer for 7-8 minutes.  • - Add the remaining ingredients. Give it all a good mix and cook for 2 more minutes.  • - Serve warm.  • - Enjoy 😊  #lapsi #brokenwheat #sweet

Dalia Upma is a healthy tasty breakfast recipe of Upma made with broken wheat or cracked wheat. Make this traditional Indian breakfast with broken wheat Upma with this quick and easy recipe. It’s loaded with vegetables, high in protein, low in GI which makes it good for diabetics. It is 100% vegetarian and can be made vegan.

Ingredients:
 • 1/2 cup Dalia broken wheat / cracked wheat
 • 1/4 cup brown rice
 • 1/4 cup chana dal
 • 1/4 cup green moong dal split mung dal
 • 3 tbsp onion chopped
 • 1/4 cup potatoes cubed
 • 1/4 cup green peas
 • 1/4 cup carrots
 • 1 tsp green chilli chopped
 • 7-8 curry leaves optional
 • 1 tsp ginger chopped
 • 1 tbsp Oil
 • 1 tsp cumin seeds
 • 1/4 tsp Salt

Recipe:  • Add 1 cup dalia (roasted split gram) with 2 chopped green chilies, 1/2 tsp soonth (dry ginger powder), 2 tbsp yogurt and salt to a blender.   • Add 1 1/4 cup water and blend until smooth. Add more water if needed.   • To a vaghariyu/ small pan - add 1 tbsp oil, 1/2 tbsp urad dal. Once it starts to turn a little red, add 1/2 tsp rai (mustard seeds) - let if crackle.   • Add 1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds), 1/8 tsp hing (asafoetida) and 6-7 curry leaves. Pour this over the chutney.   • Mix well and enjoy! Stays fresh in an air right container in the fridge for 3 days.

5 minute chutney perfect to pair with dosa, idli, uttapam, dhokla, handva.  Recipe:  • Add 1/2 cup dalia (roasted split gram) with 1 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp soonth (dry ginger powder), 1 tbsp dahi/ yogurt and salt to a blender. Makes sure your dahi is heated separately first.   • Add 1/2 cup water and blend until smooth. Add more water if needed.   • To a vaghariyu/ small pan - add 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp urad dal.
