He first powered our returns management software, then joined the team to help sell and scale it a few years ago. Together we executed large-scale return stream programs for PCs and mobile phones. This visit gave students an in-depth look at how Applied Materials stays ahead of the curve through warehouse innovation, advanced packaging systems, and agile logistics operations that drive efficiency across its global network. In addition to the tour, students gained valuable insights from industry professionals who shared perspectives on the future of supply chain management, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, global resiliency, and emerging industry trends. Panelists also offered practical advice to help students stand out as they begin their careers in the field. This event marked one of SCMA’s most impactful experiences yet, offering an unmatched blend of real-world exposure, professional networking, and career preparation for the next generation of supply chain leaders. Amazon's started our support efforts with donations to six nonprofit partners (including the World Food Programme, Red Cross, International Medical Corps, and World Central Kitchen) to provide urgent relief, including search and rescue, medical care, and food. We’re also preparing an Amazon Air mission with much-needed relief supplies to land on the scene when local authorities are ready to receive.
