Sam Walton's legacy forever lives on 💙
"Everyday low prices" has been a promise by Walmart for more than six decades. Founder Sam Walton was able to keep that promise by reinventing retail and big-box stores. His contributions placed him in sixth place on the #Forbe250 list honoring historic innovators. Get the full list here: https://lnkd.in/eTjR2AFm Photo: Bettmann Archive via Getty Images

Walmart reposted this
It was great to spend time with our Walmart U.S. team in Houston this week! The Year Beginning Meeting is always a great time to connect, reflect, and plan for the year ahead. It was exciting to see our omnichannel strategy brought to life for thousands of our store, supply chain and pharmacy leaders. Everywhere I turned it was clear this is a team that wants to deliver what people want, where they want it. For Walmart, the future is fast, convenient, and personalized thanks to our associates. While in Houston, I also took the opportunity to visit some of our clubs and stores. At Sam’s Club 4769, Club Manager Marcel knew the club inside and out. His passion and excitement are rubbing off, as I met some of the friendliest and engaged associates across our company. And Store 3584 was one of the best merchandised stores I’ve seen. I was really impressed with their fresh foods, especially produce. No wonder their customers are excited to shop there. As I’ve been out visiting our associates across the U.S. and internationally these past few weeks, it’s clear that we’re more alike than we are different. We’re anchored in our purpose and values, focused on serving customers and members, and grounded in a culture that puts people first. Looking forward to hitting more clubs and stores soon!

To support our neighbors across the Southeast following recent winter storms, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation have invested over $1 million in total relief. This funding included grants to the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army for immediate shelter and meals, more than 20 truckloads of essential food, water, and emergency supplies, and e-gift cards that helped keep local warming centers stocked. While the $1 million investment provides critical resources, it is our associates who bring this relief to life. From our drivers delivering essential loads to our store teams working alongside partners like Matthew 25: Ministries, Procter & Gamble, Tyson Foods and Operation BBQ Relief, their local expertise ensures these resources reach those who need them most. We are proud to stand beside our associates as they help their hometowns recover and rebuild. Read the full update: walmrt.us/4quGYkq #WalmartForGood

9 out of 10 Americans say they’d be happy to receive chocolate on Valentine’s Day. That’s why it shows up everywhere, from heart-shaped boxes to classroom valentines and last-minute surprises. Valentine’s Day is one of the biggest moments of the year for chocolate, and timing is everything. When most purchases happen just days before February 14, having the right items on the shelf makes all the difference. That’s where strong supplier collaborations and U.S. manufacturing come in. Working closely together to help us move quickly, stay flexible, and keep seasonal favorites flowing – even for our last-minute shoppers.

With our next chapter underway, John Furner took us behind the scenes of his first week as CEO, which he spent listening, learning, and having a little fun along the way. It was a great week of firsts, and we’re just getting started!

A sneak peek before kickoff 🏈
On football’s biggest Sunday, the party prep is truly a ritual of its own. This year, we’re airing our newest “Who Knew?” spot pre-kick off, when customers are still in that last-minute, “do we have everything?” prep moment. While many know Walmart has everything, fewer know you can get it delivered to your door in one-hour or less via Express Delivery. A little early look for your feed…

Every day Oscar Romero proves that leadership is about people. From selling Christmas trees in 1992 to leading one of Walmart’s top-performing Supercenters, Oscar has built a culture where loyalty thrives. At the Calexico store, nearly 200 associates have stayed for more than 20 years, and that’s a testament to what’s possible when leaders invest in relationships, integrity, and consistency. Oscar’s people-first approach reminds us that when you take care of your associates, everything else follows. 👉 Read how servant leadership helped turn a small-town store into a national benchmark. https://walmrt.us/3ZfCp2o

Doug McMillon's leadership has always been rooted in people: our associates, our customers and our communities. His impact on Walmart goes far beyond the business and lives on in the culture he has helped shape. At the heart of this company are the associates who show up every day for our customers and each other. Thank you, Doug, for leading with purpose and reminding us who we are. 💙
