    IEEE congratulates John Clarke, Professor Emeritus at UC Berkeley, Michel Devoret, Professor at UC Santa Barbara and Professor Emeritus of Applied Physics at Yale University, and John M.     This week, we’re recognizing #IEEE Fellow Muriel Médard, affiliated with IEEE Communications Society, for her groundbreaking contributions to the theory and practice of network coding, optical networks and wireless communications. Muriel currently works in academia, serving as a professor of software and science engineering who is deeply involved in reliability and communications research. As a holder of over 50 patents, Muriel has been a pioneering figure in her field, recently leading a team that developed the GRAND chip, which has unlocked unprecedented efficiency in decoding signal transmissions. She is an active IEEE member and volunteer, passionate about mentoring the next generation and sharing knowledge through IEEE journals and publications.
