  • 👀 See secure, just-in-time secrets in action. With 1Password + Cursor Hooks, AI agents can use the credentials they need at runtime, only when authorized, without ever granting unrestricted access to secrets. No hardcoded tokens. No plaintext keys. No secrets written to disk or Git. Watch how secrets are made available securely at runtime and become unavailable shortly thereafter https://lnkd.in/gqH2thyA

🔐 Secure AI-native development without slowing developers down. 1Password now integrates with Cursor Hooks, giving developers a secure, just-in-time way to ensure required secrets are available to Cursor workflows via 1Password Environments, without providing unrestricted access to AI agents or writing them to disk. AI is accelerating how software gets built, but pasting tokens into config files or handing raw credentials to AI agents creates real risk. With 1Password + Cursor Hooks: ✔️ Secrets stay out of code, config files, and Git history ✔️ Credentials are made available securely at runtime via 1Password ✔️ Project owners can configure secrets management, so best practices are followed across the team The result? Developers move fast with Cursor while credential risk stays low. This is just the beginning of a broader set of secure developer workflows we’re building, making 1Password the secure path for AI augmented development. 🚀 👉 Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/gcxvFWep #DevSecOps #AIsecurity #Developers #1Password #Cursor

  • For MSPs, unlocking new revenue starts with unlocking trust. In today’s SaaS- and AI-powered businesses, teams want security they can trust. Chris Doucette, Vice President at SupercityOS, says that 1Password Enterprise Password Manager is a core part of the security stack that streamlines secure access, and “it’s the easiest app we have to deploy as a part of our onboarding process.” Secure access. Streamlined onboarding. Identity security MSPs and partners can trust. 🎥 Watch and learn more about 1Password Enterprise Password Manager MSP Edition here: https://bit.ly/4pKsltP #CyberSecurity #IdentitySecurity #MSP #1Password

  • This captures what we hear from CISOs every day: identity security has evolved beyond IAM and SSO. This is a thoughtful breakdown from Software Analyst Cyber Research on 1Password identity security solutions and why credentials, access, and governance must work together.

Identity security has outgrown point solutions. For CISOs, that reality is becoming harder to ignore. ➡️ In this week’s Vendor Watch series, we’re looking at how 1Password frames its identity security stack and what it signals for modern access strategies. The stack presents identity security as a system, not a single control. It’s structured around three core areas: 1/ Vaulting and Credential Management Coverage spans all credential types, including logins, passkeys, API keys, secrets, authentication tokens, and credit cards. This positions credentials as a centralized security layer rather than a collection of isolated artifacts. 2/ Extended Access Management This layer includes provisioning, workflow automation, SaaS and device discovery, universal sign-on, access requests, guided remediation, and access governance. Policy and trust controls, such as continuous risk assessment, zero trust posture assessment, and conditional access, are paired with SaaS management capabilities like app discovery and spend visibility. 3/ Credential Brokering Platform The stack also outlines next-generation PAM designed for AI and non-human identities. Capabilities shown include auditing, manageability, policy, analytics, governance, and human-in-the-loop authorization. Supporting services include credential attestation, auto rotation, auto syncing, agentic autofill, and programmatic AI access. From a CISO perspective, the stack reflects several recurring priorities: • Managing access beyond traditional IAM and SSO boundaries • Supporting passwordless authentication alongside existing credentials • Governing both human and non-human identities • Extending visibility and control across SaaS, devices, and workflows The visual emphasizes integration across access, credentials, and governance rather than treating them as separate domains. We’ll continue breaking down identity architectures and control models in upcoming Vendor Watch posts. Shadow AI is one of the fastest-growing security risks inside today’s organizations. The 1Password 2025 Annual Report: The Access-Trust Gap reveals that 1 in 4 employees (27%) have used AI tools that were not approved by their company. These tools can absorb sensitive data into training sets, violate compliance, or even behave like malware. As Nick Tripp, CISO at Duke University, put it: “I know we’ve got data going into these LLMs that we don’t have control over… if someone uses a tool we don’t have an agreement for, there’s no protection for us.” The rise of Shadow AI is creating blind spots that existing security tools can’t see and policies alone can’t prevent. Organizations need visibility, governance, and controls that account for both human and AI identities. 👉 Explore the full report findings here: https://bit.ly/47hkSMc #CyberSecurity #AIsecurity #ShadowAI #IdentitySecurity #AccessTrustGap #1Password
