Btw Anthropic featured Zapier in their Claude Enterprise launch today 🤖 The quote they pulled was about Skills spreading like lightning at Zapier. Which…has been *very* real. Someone builds a Skill that codifies how they think about a problem, suddenly everyone has access to that approach. One person's knowledge becomes 800 people's leverage. My personal favorite is the skill that PMs fire up to make their product enablement slides for them (Uses Zapier MCP to pull from Product Board, asks questions as needed until Opus can create slides that have the correct altitude of information for our amazing Sales and Success team to learn how to help our customers with everything we’re shipping. It’s PURE 🔥) Link to the full piece: https://lnkd.in/gbKWjAWj

My #1 interview question right now - A little context though, I spent the morning in Claude Code, Claude CoWork, Cursor + Zapier MCP, and sprinkled in a little Codex just to round it out. Why? Because I have to. I was interviewing someone yesterday and I asked them if they were planning to invest time/energy into learning these new ways of working. Truth is, at some point everyone says enough is enough, they don't want to learn the next wave of tech evolution and they're just going to rely on their greatest hits playbook for as long as they can ride it out. It's a very telling question to ask in the interview process, especially for marketers. I'm not saying you need to be a 10/10 user in these tools, but if you're coming into an interview as a 5/10 then you better spike 20/10 in creativity, drive, or something else. I don't think most people know who they're interviewing up against right now, or that these 10/10 code marketing folks even exist. It's not a one size fits all. It's not applicable to every role. But, it's a trend too many are ignoring.

I can't code. But I just taught our marketing team how. At Zapier Summit in LA, Joe Stych and I ran this workshop. Cursor + Zapier MCP. Every single person shipped a live AI workflow before leaving the room. Our goal is to have every marketer on the team fluent in agentic AI tools by the end of Q1. Internally we've made it clear this is the new bar (pro-tip for anyone thinking of applying to the Zapier marketing team 👀) What we're actually doing: teaching people to build, 2026-style. Faster drafts and cleaner summaries are so 2025. Instead of just automating tasks, lately we’ve been asking: how can we rethink this task entirely? We're running a contest now at Zapier. Cash prizes for the top three marketing use cases. I'll share what folks build as we go. P.S. Want to see how I’m doing this? Cursor x Zapier MCP webinar coming soon 🤫 😅

Anthropic's Claude Enterprise just went self-serve. And Zapier is a part of the launch announcement 🔥 One of 5 companies highlighted. Here's what our Director of Product, Anna Marie Clifton, told them: "The AI tools that stick are the ones teams actually reach for every day. Skills especially have spread like lightning, letting our experts create systems that turn individual productivity into company-wide leverage." One person builds. The whole org benefits. If you have imposter syndrome about calling yourself a “creator,” may I suggest creating a baby??? 🥹 It’s worked for me twice now… Our bundle of joy, Zapier* Fleming, has arrived! We’re a little sleep-deprived, but so in love! And somewhere between diaper changes and naps, I’m excited to announce #PopChat will return Friday, February 13th 🎉🎉🎉 See you then!!! 💜 *His real name is Casey :)

U.S. companies cited AI as the reason for 55,000 job cuts last year. So I looked at who actually has AI tool access at work. One study concluded: 80% of C-suite leaders. 32% of non-managers. That gap should bother you. Among those 55,000 folks who lost their jobs, how many had the same AI access as the leaders making the decisions? How many had the opportunity to show how they can use AI to grow the business? Before your organization makes its next major workforce decision—whether upsizing, downsizing, or something else—start with one question: Does every person on your team have the same access to AI tools as your executive team? If the answer is no, start there.

You could vibe code a whole CRM. But should you? Dharmesh Shah explained. Hubspot is 9,000 people with some of the best engineering talent in the world. Number of SaaS apps they've replaced by building in-house? Exactly 0. Number they plan to replace? Exactly 0. On my podcast Agents of Scale, Dharmesh Shah broke down where AI actually creates value, why large SaaS companies aren't going anywhere, and what leaders should focus on instead of chasing replacements. The best marketing decisions I made this year? Started with me laughing at a pitch and saying "do it." Work with Bailey Zappe bc his name sounds like Zapier? Do it. Super Bowl ad with a brand new character we created? Love it. Rebrand Zapier and all its employees online as AL? Hell yeah. Hey, I've spent too long building these instincts to ignore them now. The Bailey Zappe idea is a fun example of that. We saw tech companies working with big name athletes and said "What's the Zapier version of that?" Of course, that meant getting a little odd. Ryan Quindlen and the Zapier in-house writers room pitched me "Bailey Zappe, Zapier Quarterback." That was the pitch. 4 words. I said "Can we get him in a Zapier jersey?" and we were off. The team wrote the scripts 100% in-house and we worked with Connor Lewis to cast, shoot, and edit them. As a Boston native, I love Bailey Zappe. Any Pats fan does. So when Boston-based customers started DMing us saying they couldn't believe Zapier got him, that was a moment. Got to see my hometown excited over something we made. Here's what I keep thinking about. We're in the middle of our biggest marketing moment ever. Super Bowl campaign with AL. Billboards across the Bay Area, Chicago, Denver, etc. But today a Boston-based exec at an $800 billion company reached out to say they saw the Zappe/Zapier ad and we're "killing it." AL was the big swing. Bailey Zappe was the love letter. You need both. The campaign that reaches everyone and the one that makes a specific group feel like you made it just for them.
