The good: The soundtrack oh my. The excellence: The cast: Perfect casting. I'm not a fan of Jonathan Majors. I do not dislike him. He delivered a strong performance. Idris Elba: I remember Roger Ebert saying you can usually tell the best supporting actor as you wonder what they were doing off camera. His performance did not rise to this level. When he appeared on camera. His presence overshadowed all others. Delroy Lindo: His performance was terrific. I did not like the end portrayal of his character Bass Reeves. All accounts this man character was above any question. The final frame destroyed. Zazie Beetz: A newcomer she held her own especially against Regina King, who delivered a performance in a role I would not have expected. My favorite and a newcomer: Danielle Deadwyler. Props to the makeup artist who can take a breathtaking woman and turn her into ordinary. The downside: To much going on. Clearly the inspiration is Sergio Leone: The opening of Once Upon a Time In The West to The Good, Bad and Ugly. A little too much in a movie. I can't how or why? I figured out the plot reveal.
A line from the movie as well as an accurate description. It's a different type of action film. The subject matter of search and illegal seizure is handle quite. The town and sheriff department are wrong; are they bad? Don Johnson, the work he is putting together on Netflix is fascinating. You can take his role in Django and insert to his recent film on Netflix. Jeremy Saulnier, the writer/director, manage a movie that is boring (slow); yet compelling (steady). I was have way thru the movie when I noticed how smart the dialog is written. Just because your right does not mean we're wrong. I'm expecting the typical one man army trope. It appears, not in the manner you would expect. The acting not superior (slow); the actors are likable (steady). You will not be disappointed. I'm not sure I want another directorial from Jeremy? I would like another movie written by Jeremy.
This is the type of movie I was raised on as a child the late late show. I came by this movie through Weird Movies With Mark, a movie review channel on YouTube. What I love about the movie? The scenes that would be consider scandalous in the 50s and 60s is mildly titillating in the 21st Century. The women are hot and seductively dressed throughout the movie. It's reaches the climax for T&A fans when a little T is exposed. The plot is laughable. The women keep you enthralled. Late, late night a movie that is worth the time. What I admire? The movie is originally German and a couple of scenes German is the language spoken. The women are hot, a little T no A in the version I watched, a couple of scenes that will make you chuckle. It's an 8. They say Germans have no sense of humor.
