Let me preface this by saying I loved the concept. There's nothing I find more entertaining than this concept and when you think a horror movie is one thing but it turns into something else.
This? This wasn't it. Seriously the dumbest people making the dumbest decision with the dumbest ending. I just can't.

Good movie. I thought this film was going to be a bad low budget horror thriller. But I really enjoyed it. It was abit predictable and that's fine tbh. I would definitely watch it again at some point. The acting was quite good. It's creepy at times. Couple of good jump scares. Some people will like it and some won't but I really liked it. I totally recommend people to give it a watch. The story isn't original but it don't really have to. 5/10
This movie was boring, too predictable, and unfinished scenes. Why did no one find the apple the creepy neighbour took a bite out of? What was the reasoning for that scene. Whatever happened to Hannah's cat?
Horrible ending!!!
Horrible ending!!!
I've seen this far too many times, so it took few scenes to realize what is it all about. At a certain point I even got annoyed cause it seemed to keep the plot a mystery, but I managed to stay there and wait for the end.
Glad I did so, cause surprisingly enough, it had something to offer indeed. A better, darker execution, a possible more real situation, of course, not all of it, but I did enjoy it. As movies like this have you root for certain characters, here I was drawn into the family and hoped everything would turn out OK.
Again, my experience in these kind of movies taught me well, so there were no real surprises even tho they did focus on that, but without naming the movies they took the ideas from, or spoiling it, I'm just gonna say that you could watch this and not be completely disappointed. On a scale from 1 to 10 I rated it 5, cause it did some things different. But mostly, the same moves you've seen for a lifetime.
Cheers!

I don't understand these bad ratings.I liked this movie so much I re- watched it with my daughter.I'm looking for it to watch again for Halloween.I've been a horror movie fan my entire life and thought this was great.I'm not talking about gore like the final destination smut.I think horror film fans should see this and I notice everyone now thinks they are a movie critic. Was a good movie and I ended up standing on my couch being scared.Just my two cents

- TriviaMisty Upham's last film.
- GoofsOne major flaw (among many) of this movie was the existence of wide spaces between the walls and floors that allowed our mystery villain to be able to move silently and easily between the attic and the other floors. Construction of homes in the last 50 years does away with these spaces, reserved for pipe chases and duct work.
