An unusual tale of Faith and Justice.

A beautifully crafted and executed screenplay keeps the audiences on the edge of their seats till the end of the story. It is complimented with very authentic cultural references intelligently woven in the story by the writer. Despite being an adaptation this film individually also stands out as a masterpiece of marathi cinema in the recent times. One of the finest films of 2025. Director Tejas Deoskar, writer Neha Shitole take a bow for this effort of yours... Actors Mahesh Manjarekar, Ranuka Shahane and Subodh Bhave exhibit their experiance and talent in their respective characters... One person who outshines everyone else is Mr. Siddharth Bodake... In all this film proves yet again that "Content is King."

    Narayan, Narayan....

I liked the teaser and the BGM Narayana Narayana, so I decided to watch the movie. But just a day before its release I got to know that it's a remake of Hindi movie Vadh. Still I wasn't disappointed because last year's best Marathi film (for me) Ole Aale was also a remake.

Devmanus was a good movie. It had its moments, none of the characters really connected with me but they were intresting. The acting was a hit and a little bit of a miss at times. Still, the way it gets absurd in the third act by including all the characters it shows us build in the first half was good. I haven't seen Vadh so I don't know what was new, but whatever it was it worked. And the BGM and songs were great, especially Narayana Narayana by Sonu Nigam.

Well, I had reservations and with good reason, but. . .

It's rates 7 of my best stars. Intriguing story, and satisfactory performances. It caught my attention and held it for the duration. So pretty solid movie, a few cuts above the usual Bollywood crash, bang, boom fare.

My reservation came about when I looked up the movie on IMDB and saw that the writing credit went to "Neha Shitole". That last name cut a bit too close for comfort, if you get my drift. A name like that could do double duty--as name and as a bad omen.

I'm happy to say that in this instance, there was nothing "shitoley" about the movie at all. Quite the opposite. Ideal for when you are in the mood from something thoughtful and thought-provoking.

This movie is an absolute must-watch! With a beautifully written story and brilliant performances, it keeps you fully engaged from beginning to end. Every actor delivers with sincerity and depth, making the characters feel incredibly real and relatable. The emotions are portrayed so naturally that you truly connect with the journey. The director deserves praise for choosing such a meaningful and relevant subject, handling it with great sensitivity, insight, and care. It's the kind of film that not only entertains but also leaves a strong emotional impact and makes you reflect on important issues. Perfect for watching with friends and family, it encourages thoughtful conversations and shared moments. A wonderfully crafted film that lingers in your heart and mind long after the credits roll. Devmanus - A Must-Watch Masterpiece!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm in awe! Huge congratulations to my talented friend Neha Shitole. For her brilliant debut screenplay!

    • your very first screenplay is nothing short of brilliant. Every scene, every emotion, every twist has been crafted with such honesty and heart. So proud of you!

Mahesh Manjrekar has delivered one of his finest performances - portraying the journey from an ordinary teacher to a determined, headstrong man with so much power and grace. Standing Ovation!

Renuka Shahane lights up the screen with her presence - her grace, her strength, and her emotional depth add so many layers to the story. Every frame she appears in feels richer, warmer, and more powerful because of her!

Sai Tamhankar truly sets the screen on fire! She brings such power, grace, and intensity to her role, making every scene she's in unforgettable. And her Lavani performance - absolutely mesmerizing! It was a perfect blend of tradition, expression.

Subodh Bhave as the inspector is a force to be reckoned with - bringing strength, empathy, and command to the role. His performance adds layers to the movie that you won't forget.

The villain's performance is chilling - truly unforgettable! Devmanus is a thrilling, emotional ride, showcasing the very best of Marathi cinema.
