I don't know if you remember the energy and happiness Fluffy used to spread by performing a decade ago. How he could imitate high pitched voices and describle hilarious situations with his perfect storytelling skills. I don't see that guy anymore! He used to be really funny and this... is not funny at all. In this special, people cheer and laugh at every unrelatable sentence which makes it annoying at some point. The performance is without any soul and feels just like an old guy telling his boring memories in a bar. My take might be due to the sake of nostalgia but I have a feeling that fluffy went through so much and couldn't recover from it.
I found the program boring, lacking energy. Thinking about it later, his mother died, his girlfriend split, and Frankie is a young adult and out on his own. He's got nothing left to talk about except Martin(e). He said he wanted to keep it light and funny and then proceeded to beat the audience (and poor Dustin) over the head for 90 minutes with PC BS. Note the final riff on how he learned so much by being shamed and how good it is to be shamed, and then compare that to his beginning story about a McD's manager shaming him on word usage. I sighest. Fluffy and Chapelle need to sit down and compare notes on what the world needs now.
I literally made an account just to talk about how much this sucked. The constant talk about politics is just TERRIBLE and shows he's ran out of original material, I can appreciate comedians using politics in their set when it's actually funny but literally none of his jokes land for me, it's all recycled material you see from any grifter on social media. Also the over editing is ABYSMAL, constant cuts make this damn near nauseating to watch and it always sounds like they have a "LAUGH" sign above the stage that lights up, but even then it sounds like nobody laughed so they had to edit in audio of them laughing. I can not believe this man is making jokes about the vaccine in the year 2025, so much PC bs that gets so tiring it feels as if that's all his specials are now. Constantly talking about people getting "offended" and "offensive" this and "offensive" that and "cancel" this and "cancel" that. He also keeps going on lectures that feel sooooooo forced.
"Kids dont know about respect these years!" *edited in crowd noise of people clapping 30 seconds after he made said statement* "Haha Cancel Culture amiright?" *crowd clapping like drones*
Just a flat out lifeless, unorganic, unfunny comedy set, and you hate to see it from a comedian like Gabriel Iglesias! Hopefully his next special is actually funny and not Gen X nonsensical bs.

Ever since ~2010, it seems like Fluffy hit his peak and has been riding that success ever since. His newer specials don't really seem that funny. But for some reason I keep finding myself watching each new one he comes out with.
Say what you will about Fluffy's newer material... it's not as funny, there aren't as many sound effects, there aren't really any jokes that you take with you after the special. But the guy is just such a damn good storyteller that you keep coming back for more!
Fluffy has you on the edge of a seat this entire special. It's truly amazing to be apart of! You know what he's telling you isn't going to be that amazing, but he finds a way with every story he tells you to make it engaging and worthwhile - to keep you paying attention the entire time. It's captivating. It's mesmerizing. It's truly something to behold.
If you're looking for a great comedian, watch his older material... if you're looking for one of the greatest storytellers of our generation, you've got it right here!

This show is all about him patting himself on the back. The first 20 minutes has a total of 1 joke in it. There are rounds of polite applause from the audience 👏, but only in the way a congregation is friendly to their preacher.
If you LOVE funny stuff, this is NOT it. He first wants you to be in awe that he has been a comedian for 27 years. Then he actually asks the audience how many people at his show had never heard of him before? He counts and says, "oh, about 5 people". In short, this stand up special is all about him indulging his own ego.
It is painful. You keep waiting for the jokes, but they just don't come. He's basically a confident public speaker 📢 with nothing to really say, unless you include old throw reasons to compel applause like: 1. Back in the day we respected our elders!
2. Love being here in Miami-Dade (even though the HardRock here is in Broward County and that's Ft. Lauderdale)
He is doing the Kevin James, Katt Williams stuff where they USED to be very funny. Now they just want to preach to you about things that we all generally know about. No prep. No new jokes. Nothing clever. Just give me the microphone, I can just work the room and make people feel good. But that's NOT funny. Don't tell us what you've done, in order to make a new dollar, how about earning your dollars today by shoeing up with new material and telling jokes!! 🤔
It is a TOTAL money grab. He said he isn't the kind of comedian to get political. Then his first joke is taking a poke at the while pronoun identification issue him/them she/they. And just like a typical Gen X'er, it wasn't funny. It wasn't shameful or offensive. It was just cringy because he first said that he wouldn't, THEN it wasn't that funny.
Long talking set ups to jokes with almost no pay off. So the audience politely claps 👏 and once again, he thinks 🤔 in his own mind that he was brilliant. Everyone at that show should have gotten a refund. Terrible.
Comedians shouldn't wing it. Rehearse, write new stuff, and be better than this!
