Moon Knight season 2 could potentially feature a showdown with Rama-Tut, the Egyptian pharaoh variant of Kang the Conqueror. The introduction of Jake Lockley sets up a compelling internal and external battle between the different alters of Moon Knight. Moon Knight's history of hunting and killing vampires in the comics suggests that a growing threat of vampires could be established in the MCU, potentially involving Blade and Dracula.
While Moon Knight season 2 has yet to be officially greenlit by Marvel Studios, several villains have potentially been set up across the MCU timeline. In the first season of Moon Knight, Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac) and his alter Steven Grant faced Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke), the avatar of the Egyptian goddess Ammit. Imbued with the power of the Egyptian mood god Khonshu, Moon Knight was able to stop Harrow and Ammit before they could preemptively punish the souls of humanity. However, there...

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses major plot points, including the ending and the post-credits scenes, for “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” currently playing in theaters.
While improvising in a meticulously crafted Marvel movie — full of CGI, green screens and elaborate costumes — seems nearly impossible, Paul Rudd and Jonathan Majors did just that “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” According to editors Adam Gerstel and Laura Jennings, Rudd, who plays Scott Lang/Ant-Man, and Majors, who plays the MCU’s new Thanos-sized villain Kang the Conquerer, especially exercised their improv muscles during two similar scenes — one which features a multiplied Ant-Man and another, an army of Kangs.
Gerstel says the scene where Lang replicates and faces hoards of his multiple selves was a technical shoot that required the entire sequence to be pre-visualized to understand the story. The concept was to “showcase Paul’s comedic talents and riff off of that,” wondering...

The limited series “Perpetual Grace Ltd” aired over the summer from June to August, so it might have fallen under the radar as the Emmys for the previous TV season were still being decided, but with the Golden Globes and SAG Awards approaching it might be time for awards voters to say “Grace,” especially with a showcase performance by Ben Kingsley at the heart of it.
Created by Steven Conrad and Bruce Terris (Amazon‘s “Patriot“), the series follows a young grifter (Jimmi Simpson) who tries to prey on Pastor Byron Brown (Kingsley), but the pastor is more dangerous than he bargained for. It’s a villainous role that has been compared to Kingsley’s turn in “Sexy Beast” (2001), which earned him one of his four Oscar nominations and one of his eight Golden Globe noms. He plays Pastor Brown “with a slight tinge of menace from the very beginning” that is “quickly” unleashed.

If the last few decades of entertainment history has taught us two things, it’s that you shouldn’t mess with a character played by Ben Kingsley and you really shouldn’t mess with a character played by Jacki Weaver. The core of “Perpetual Grace, Ltd” is watching one would-be grifter discover these empirical truths for himself.
Jimmi Simpson plays James, a wandering con man who stumbles on a pair of potential prey he couldn’t have accounted for: Ma (Weaver) and Pa (Kingsley). Paramount Network’s first two big event series, “Waco” and “Yellowstone,” take place in the center of the country — and that’s not by accident. The newly rebranded channel, which flipped from its longtime identity as Spike today, may now sport the name of a big Hollywood studio. But its roots still lie in Nashville.
That’s what helped fuel a desire to make Paramount a premium basic cable network that perhaps appeals as much to the middle of the country as the coasts, which network president Kevin Kay said he hoped might set it apart from established competitors like FX and AMC. “Waco,” which premieres Jan. 24, stars Michael Shannon, Taylor Kitsch, John Leguizamo, Rory Culkin, Melissa Benoist, and Camryn Manheim, and tells the story of the real-life 1993 standoff between cult leader David Koresh and the FBI and Atf.
“Yellowstone,” meanwhile, stars Kevin Costner as the nation’s largest ranch owner.

Hollywood, the Dream Factory, is the apt setting for the latest cinematic update on William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Fran Kranz, Hamish Linklater, Lily Rabe, and Rachael Leigh Cook are among the cast in the new Midsummer adaptation. HitFix has an exclusive early look at the film. The new vision of one of the Bard’s greatest comedies is set in present-day Hollywood, a place where glamorous stars, commanding moguls, starving artists, and vaulting pretenders all vie to get ahead. The Athenians are Hollywood glitterati, the mechanicals (Bottom and his troupe of wannabe actors) are film students, and the fairies of the forest are hippies in Topanga Canyon, nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains just east of Malibu. Staging or filming a Shakespeare project four centuries after the incomparable playwright lived and after countless artists have already mounted productions of his plays poses several challenges. A month and a half after Spike gave a pilot order to drama The Mist, based on the Stephen King novella, the project, from TWC-Dimension Television, has received a straight-to-series pickup.
The Mist, which marked Spike’s first pilot order since the network returned to the scripted space, is now looking to become the network’s first original scripted series in a decade with production slated to begin in summer 2016 for a 2017 debut.
According to the network, the decision to go straight to series was made after hearing the series pitch and reading the script for The Mist. The series order comes about three weeks after Spike put straight-to-series drama Red Mars on hold following the exit of the showrunner. Red Mars, in turn, was picked up a couple of weeks after straight-to-series drama Harvest — Spike’s first scripted series order in a decade — was scrapped while in pre-production.

Two nominating panels – one for television and one for film – each composed of 2,200 randomly selected union members from across the United States, chose this year’s nominees.
Some of the Sags choices were head-scratchers to be sure, but we’re thinking that the Oscar picks may be very different when The Academy announces their nominations next month live on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 5:30 a.m. Pt at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

The 2016 SAG award nominations were announced this morning. A few notable names were left off the list (no Jennifer Lawrence) while other categories had pretty much what everyone expected (Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series). Critical favorite "Spotlight" got a few nominations, but missed out on the best actor categories. And "Creed" is nowhere to be seen, despite buzz for stars Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone. Elba is nominated for "Beast of No Nation" and "Luther," Mirren for "Woman in Gold" and "Trumbo," and Rylance for "Bridge of Spies" and "Wolf Hall." Mirren and Elba also got a nomination each as part of ensemble casts. So, without further ado, here are your nominees: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading...

Hollywood blacklist drama Trumbo has led the nominations for the 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards with three nods for lead actor Bryan Cranston, supporting actress Helen Mirren and the ensemble cast. The Martian and The Hateful Eight were shut out.
Set in 1947, the film centres on Dalton Trumbo (Cranston), who was Hollywood’s top screenwriter, until he and other artists were jailed and blacklisted for their political beliefs.
Cranston will go up against Johnny Depp for Black Mass, Leonardo DiCaprio for The Revenant, Michael Fassbender for Steve Jobs and Eddie Redmayne for The Danish Girl.
Films that secured two nominations included Beasts Of No Nation, The Big Short, Carol, The Danish Girl, Room, Spotlight - whose outstanding cast nod will only strengthen its status as best picture Oscar frontrunner — and Steve Jobs.
