All Glory and Honor to Christ the Lord. It's that simple.
What a surprisingly rewarding film. I have not watched a film that is so engaging for a long while. And it's a powerful Christian movie. I sat there long after the credits ran which shows how powerful it is. I had never even heard of the film before and only saw it by chance at the theater's website. I am glad I came as I enjoyed every minute of it. Firing Squad is very clever depicting a prison camp realistically and giving a totally truthful example of how people can un-knowingly be sucked in by the devil in our brief lifetime. That actor who plays the warden gives the performance of a life time, he is perfectly cast opposite Kevin Sorbo who is also very impressive. The two posses an obvious chemistry. I'm so glad I'm saved and going to heaven. I recommend you see this movie ASAP especially those battling depression and anxiety. Your spirit will be lifted.

'The Firing Squad' is in the top 10 of my favorite faith-based movies. It really is a tremendous uplifting film that leaves you in tears from the very beginning to the very end. And it's all attributed to God. Kudos to Kevin Sorbo, Eric Roberts, James Barrington and the entire cast for being in the film and giving terrific performances.
The acting is really pretty good - there's no Brad Pitt here, but there is plenty of heart and soul from the entire cast. Hard to believe a movie with this much drama, acting and pathos was created with only a small budget! It is not only entertaining and funny but didactic as well. Don't miss this one - do it for yourself - do it for God!

Firing Squad is more than just a film; it's a profound exploration of the human spirit and the transformative power of faith. This cinematic masterpiece weaves together a compelling narrative with visuals and unforgettable characters, creating a truly immersive experience.
What sets this film apart is its ability to resonate with audiences on a deeply personal level. The story, rooted in our sinful nature, delves into the complexities of finding hope in the face of death with both sensitivity and conviction. The characters are richly developed, their struggles and triumphs feeling authentic and relatable.
The performances are nothing short of extraordinary. The singing of Amazing Grace deliver powerhouse portrayals that leave a lasting impact. Their chemistry on screen is palpable, drawing the audience into the heart of the story.
The score is equally impressive, complementing the scenes perfectly and elevating the overall viewing experience.
But it is the film's exploration of faith that truly sets it apart. It doesn't preach or proselytize; instead, it invites viewers to contemplate their own beliefs and values. The portrayal of faith is both honest and inspiring, offering hope and encouragement without being overly sentimental.
The Firing Squad is a film that challenges, provokes, and ultimately inspires. It is a testament to the enduring power of faith and the possibility of redemption in the darkest of places. This is not merely a film; it's a spiritual experience that will leave a lasting impact on viewers.

I avoided it and didn't go to the theater because of the heavy criticism. From the criticism I was swayed into thinking that the acting was bad, story, etc.
Boy was I wrong. What is wrong with these haters? Anyone? Why are they repeatedly attacking all Christian films.
I have just ask "what is all the fuss about?" No movie is perfect. But was there anything really bad about this movie? Was there anything really wrong about the movie? So what if the scholarly detail isn't perfect. It's good enough for an ordinary person going to the cinema who has no clue about the details.
The film team did a good job. They deserve credit.
Keep making movies. You're good at it. Don't let anyone tell you any different.
To all the haters, please get a life. Get married. Travel the world. Find a cure for cancer. Invent something amazing. But don't waste your life hating this worthy movie, the filmmakers or Jesus.

I highly recommend this movie. The story was well thought out although fairly complex. The acting was top notch and cinematography excellent. It really makes you think. Kevin Sorbo, the lead actor, really portrays what it would be like to go through difficult period of facing execution. James Barrington, the other main actor, really stepped up his performance as well - haven't heard of him before. It was not a short movie but I never felt like it was dragging at all. There was also a very powerful family story with Cuba Gooding's character - tremendous actor. His unrelenting faith was very encouraging.
The other big thing is that it shows the difficult life of prisoners in third world countries and I give thanks to God I'm free. I don't know if the dramatic events happen in real life but they sure portrayed them effectively.
