Nora is more crazy than her father. Just putting her in prison will save both humans and trolls. She is the dumbest person in this movie.
Why would they ever invite her is beyond me. And take her on flights knowing she is nuts.
She is insufferable and I hope they won't go for third part. Or at least change the writers because this is worthless.

This movie is somehow worse than the previous one. The dialogue is so bad, it's like the writers have never participated in a real life conversation before. If aliens were to write a human interaction, this would be the result. Utter garbage, and an embarrassment of Norwegian entertainment. It's genuinely embarrassing that this movie represents my country. The plot and action is all copy-paste from Hollywood, and not in a good way. Very bland and predictable. The actors try their best with what they have but it's not salvageable. Please don't watch this movie.
I thoroughly enjoyed the 2022 Norwegian movie "Troll" and thus needed no persuasion to sit down and watch the 2025 sequel "Troll 2".
Writers Espen Aukan and Roar Uthaug, both of whom also wrote the first movie, put together a fair enough script, though it had some shortcomings in comparison to the previous movie. While "Troll 2" certainly was watchable, it just failed to live up to the level of the 2022 movie. I am not saying that "Troll 2" is a bad movie, not at all. But it just felt a bit tame and mundane, truth be told.
Nice to have some of the cast from the first movie return to reprise their characters and roles in the sequel, such as Ine Marie Wilmann, Kim Falck, Mads Sjøgård Pettersen and Dennis Storhøi. The acting performances in the movie were good, despite the fact that the actors and actresses only had a somewhat bland script to work with.
Visually then the movie was good, just like the previous movie. And while I did enjoy the CGI effects in the movie, I have to admit that good special effects can only carry a movie so far without a more wholesome script and storyline to pull the movie forward.
My rating of director Roar Uthaug's, whom also directed the first movie, 2025 movie "Troll 2" lands on a five out of ten stars.

Nora is reached out again after another giant Troll is held captive. She grew up listening to her dad narrating the stories of the Trolls and their massacre once Christanity took over. The troll sets himself free and is out for revenge. Centuries have passed so the target turns out to be the citizens of Norway. So Nora once again convinces the group led by Major Kristoffer to stop the threat along with Isaksen. How do they neutralize the threat and with whose help they achieve it, forms rest of the story.
The first film was quite disappointing and this sequel despite all the hype, is even more disappointing than the last film. Again, it is the pedestrian writing that derails the film as it sticks to usual mockbuster template. The characters barely have an arc with Isaksen getting an emotional arc without any real connect. The monster mash is just for the sake of the dialogue otherwise there isn't much to talk about this. The film starts with a flashback but it does nothing to the proceedings. The big twist was in a way laughable considering how it leads to conveniently wrap up this story. It was futile to expect the sequel to be same as the last film as I didn't had any other expectations out of it.

As a Norwegian myself I feel embarrassed both of the story and especially the weak acting in this film.
Story wise I belive it could be a lot more intriguing and should have more depth.
This whole movie is just a weak sauce of bad storyline, dry jokes, and really really bad acting!
I mean, come on, military would never act anything near of what you see in this movie.
With the beautiful nature Norway has, the romantic mythic nostalgia that trolls represent. So much wasted potential...
