Personally I enjoyed this show. Sometimes the premise of each episode can be a lot to take in, but usually by the end of the episode I get it.
It does seem to borrow heavily from some British shows like the Mighty Boosh and Doctor Who. Two friends going on surreal adventures (with not a big special effects budget) with the occasional musical interlude and recurring side characters definitely reminds me of the Mighty Boosh. I can somehow imagine Howard and Vince doing much of this. The Doctor Who influence is kind of the blue box that's bigger on the inside taking people to new places, and the end credits looks almost exactly like the Doctor Who end credits.
And of course, the parallel to Sliders is pretty clear, people sliding between parallel universes trying to get back (which itself is like Quantum Leap).
While it reminds me of those three elements, it still feels like its own show, with the tone being distinct enough to set out on its own.
I can see how this would be weird for some, as it gets pretty random, surreal, and silly, but it you enjoy those semi-non-sequitur, quasi-random British comedy shows, this might be up your alley.

I stumbled across this show on Hulu and just jumped into it looking for something easy to watch. I didn't expect this to be as entertaining or funny as it was. It's pretty straightforward: it's a sci-fi buddy comedy in the same vein of Bill & Ted or The Mighty Boosh except our comedic duo are 2 teenage girls. You might not like them the first few episodes but give them the full season and they'll grow on you. It's super silly, highly self aware, doesn't take itself seriously at all and makes fun of all things sci-fi. I only can see this show not working for some if you find the 2 leads to be unlikable or if the meta humor just isn't your cup of tea. But if you go into this just looking to laugh and can commit to the ten 30 minute episodes then I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I actually really enjoyed this show. While watching the first couple episodes I wasn't 100% sure about it but by the end of the season I was so sad there weren't more episodes. It is silly and fun and an overall enjoyable watch. I will definitely watch the next season if it gets renewed. Loved the cast and the friendship. If you're looking for a serious show you might not be satisfied but if you're looking for a lighthearted humorous teen sci-fi show with some quirky personalities, I think you'll enjoy it. I think this is a show that people of any age could enjoy as long as you like shows about a couple of goofballs.

Honestly it was surprisingly A GOOD WATCH!
So today I didn't know what to watch because I'm very picky in watching shows. I read that it had a portal, and two crazy bestfriends. So I was obviously all for it! I watched the first episode and it was ok.. nothing more, but then I kept watching and I slowly started to get into it. It became funnier each episode! Funny stupid is what I describe this show lol Crazy how I relate to them, singing out of no where, causing nothing but "trouble" with my bestfriend. Especially wanting to never leave each others side. I ALSO WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT SCHNEIDERS AND CHERYLS FUTURE!!! NO. I NEED. TO. KNOW!

After a boring mundane Monday free of work I decided to give this show a chance, it's premise seemed all to familiar but with a multiversal difference. The story of 2 best friends who cannot coexist without one another and that is until that day is tested and the principle entertains them with the idea of also becoming friends with other adolescents of their age and they find retreat in Schneiders multiverse portal. To be honest the first 2 episodes I was ready to call it quits but it latched onto to some much needed context and story and it took some dark turns as all friendships do, but this show was actually entertaining and original, sure its corny, some b-grade performances but overall the show took a very awesome turn and it dives into some very cool ideas and in conclusion don't be shy to give this one a chance, it's comedic and interesting tale of what friendship could truly withstand if you were stuck with your bestie in a multiversal travel ordeal. Certain modern day issues I disagree with having it portrayed in such a comedic and natural context but the show overall was worth a binge watch and was rather fun and enjoyable.
