A super engaging and funny show about two young girls who are figuring out their place in the world. Amazing performances from some of the younger cast members and a special mention to actor Michael Chan who truly excels in the role of Baba. I genuinely adored the character of Julie and seeing her growing up in a household that doesn't conform to conventional standards in numerous ways. This kind of representation is truly something that needs to be more widespread and normalised in current media, and this series was a perfect example of how to do so. The show is a touching, hilarious, and fun rollercoaster of a ride that I'd recommend to any preteen (and their grown-ups!). So glad it's become available in countries worldwide as I would have hated to miss out on this little gem of entertainment.

This is a fun show. Very family oriented and funny! Definitely a must watch! I love the representation and the amazing actors!
The girls bring the book series to life, and are just perfect in their roles. I couldn't ask for a better adaptation from the books. I'm sure Amy Ignatow is excited to see her stories come to life if such a meaningful way.
The only complaint I have is how long it took for this series to show up to the US!!! It's been the highlight of my month and I'm talking about it with all of my friends!
Everyone needs to add this to their watch list. Also lots of love to the adult cast like Michael Chan! They really add to the amazing show and I can't wait for a season 2!!!!

Why is it still common for western shows to overlook and exacerbate the issue of Asian stereotyping? Julie is in the same grade as Lydia and their classmates but being clearly shorter than everyone else? As an Asian viewer, this is disappointing to see. Not all Asians are short. History repeating its mistakes, generations passing down the same discriminatory views, and systemic discrimination continuing to be an overlooked issue in the west largely rises from the expression of cultural identity in the media. Please be mindful of the diverse audience and what they can perceive and learn from your content. Especially children who are still developing their perception of the world.

Why the hell did Nickelodeon (Makers of Awesome Shows such as Rugrats, Spongebob, MLAATR and Avatar: The Last Airbender) make this for the Nickelodeon Reband era which is the ReSplatt era?! Just why?! I am cool with Werid sitcoms and Live Action remakes of Popular Cartoons but this is not the way to go if u do books! (Expect Diary of a Wimpy kid 1, 2, 3 and 4)
Girl likes being Popular and the girl from that other place of the world just helps her with plans (Just like Homer Simpson from The Simpsons expect its bad. Don't blame me if u see this. Homer Simpson's ideas are Werid and Awesome. This Show Copied it)
