Saturday Night Live star Ego Nwodim is ready to trade in late-night TV for morning television. NBC announced the SNL stand-out is getting a new gig.

Beginning on February 3, Nwodim will co-host Today with Jenna & Friends alongside Jenna Bush Hager. The Saturday Night Live cast member is scheduled to appear for the entire week.

Clearly, the decision-makers at NBC appreciate what they have in Nwodim. In addition to starring on Saturday Night Live since 2018, she also co-starred in the Peacock original series Mr. Throwback that premiered in 2024.

Expect much to be made about Nwodom trading in her late nights at SNL for the 10 a.m. start time for Jenna & Friends. But thankfully it comes during an off week at Saturday Night Live, so Nwodim shouldn't be too exhausted.

The guest stars for the series from Greg Daniels and Michael Koman include Duane Shepard Sr. (“The Conners,” “Loot”), Allan Havey (“Loot,” “Glow”), Nate Jackson (“Young Rock,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm”), Mo Welch (“Kwaczala, Corporate”), Nancy Lenehan (“The Boys,” “Extended Family”), Molly Ephraim (“A League of Their Own,” “Pretty Smart”) and Tracy Letts (“Saturday Night,” “Mr. Throwback.”) Welch also serves as a writer on the series.

Season 3 sees the main characters enjoying summertime and taking a break from school with Will and Carlton perhaps finally finding common ground and supporting each other. What I like about this show is definitely the drama, I'm so here for it. Right now, Bel-Air is one of the best series' out there, and I know the third season is going to deliver. The first three episodes have definitely already done so!

Earlier on Saturday, the U.S. Women’s National Team’s 1-0 victory over Germany in the gold medal soccer match (11 a.m.-1 p.m. Et) averaged approximately 9.0 million viewers on NBC and Peacock, marking the most-watched gold medal soccer game since the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Creative partners Adam Pally and David Caspe didn’t anticipate that the “third in the Pally-Caspe trilogy” would star one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

Pally, a dedicated member of his own rec league basketball team, and Caspe, an “enormous basketball fan and even bigger Stephen Curry fan,” could not believe that the four-time NBA champion wanted to work on a show with them.

“I would not be shocked if we just got a phone call Thursday morning when the show’s supposed to premiere. That’s like, ‘Yeah, Stephen decided not to do it,’” Caspe told TheWrap. “I’d be like, ‘That makes sense. God bless him.’”

As an actor, his talents probably hit their ceiling with his TV commercials for Subway or Cars.com, but when you’re rich and powerful, no one can really stop you from selling Peacock a mockumentary in which you play yourself, no matter how unimpressive you are in the role. Ego Nwodim thinks that her “Mr. Throwback” co-star and NBA champion Stephen “Steph” Curry has the chops to be a phenomenal “Saturday Night Live” host.
