Episodes 1-5 really kept me on my toes about what would happen with the character. It opens immediately with Ankane being dumped. She goes to an event where she knows he will be trying to dress nice and make her ex jealous of what he lost. However, things don't go according to plan and she almost embarrasses herself when she meets Yamada. She quickly begs him to pretend to be boyfriend. And thus begins their love story. There was a slow down with episodes 6-8 but it picked back up again for the last 9-13 episodes. Its pure character development and relationship building so if you want a lot of drama or surprises this isn't going to be the anime for you. For me the building of the relationship was so sweet I couldn't get enough. This is the second romance anime I have watched, the first being Horimiya, which I also adored.
My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 was a fun and short watch that is definitely a pleasing show. My biggest criticism is that this show show doesn't exactly do anything unique, and if you've seen a handful of romance animes already, you may feel the same. I think that's why I landed at a 7/10, but I still think its worth a watch. The characters are fun enough and you really care for what's going on, which cannot be said for other similar shows I've seen. I will say this show shares a shockingly close premise to Recovery of an MMO Junkie, which I like a little bit more than this. But regardless, I did have a good time watching this.
She barely knows this dude and falls in love with him. There's no plot it's just playing a video game. The main love interest isn't even all that. Every other character was great and honestly she should've ended up with the guy with the glasses. Plus it was cringy to watch. AND the age difference? She's in her second year of uni but he's still in high school? I've watched some bad anime's but this one was just torture to watch. If i could rate this show lower i would. The main character was continuously embarrassing herself. DO NOT WATCH THIS FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND AND SANITY! Next time turn on Kono oto tomare: the sounds of life because it has so much more substance. Thank me later x.
This is the worst anime i have ever watched. And yes i watched the entire thing!! I would much rather give this show a 0 star.i really regret watching this show because i will never get those 2 days back ever again. Watching paint dry on a wall is more interesting than this show. Watching one piece would be better than this!! The main character is so unlikeable and she's a ginger. She literally hangs out with children and i find this disturbing. And don't even get me started on akito. He is the most boring annoying character ever to have existed. He literally gets praised for doing the BARE MINIMUM. If your standards are low then this man is perfect for you but for a normal person who actually likes themselves i would not date this man. Anyway the only characters i liked in this stupid show was runa and eita. DONT WATCH THIS ANIME!!
Wow, just... wow. I'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster that is Yamada-kun to Level 999 no Koi wo Suru. This show masterfully weaves together complex characters, relatable struggles, and a slow-burn romance that will leave you breathless. Yamada's transformation from apathetic teen to vulnerable romantic is raw and captivating, while Akane's kindness and dedication make her the perfect foil. Supporting characters like Nagi add much-needed comic relief and depth. Animation is stunning, but it's the honest portrayal of love and relationships that truly sets this show apart. Be prepared for an emotional ride - I ugly-cried multiple times! 10/10, can't wait for season 2.
