Let's grab a camcorder; recruit some actors from the local acting school and churn out another found footage turd. We are seeing a lot of this kind of movie, trying to emulate Paranormal Activity and the Blair Witch Project.....and failing badly. This movie is awful. If you like a wobbly camera with bad acting then by all means waste your time on this fecal matter.
An abandoned mining town is a cool spot to film a movie, whether it's about ghosts haunting the houses or the mines, crazy people living there, a cult, it being a body dump and so on . . . after watching the Garlock incident, I actually don't know what this film in particular was about. To be fair, about 20 minutes in I started to browse the net and only partially paid attention because it was boring as heck, but still. I guess it was about them losing it after being lost, then again, they parked right at the parking lot close to the road, are they that stupid, that they can't walk half an hour? Someone here (judging by the 100% rating he gave, a person who is affiliated with the crew) said that the 'actors' were not given a script and everything was improvised . . . well, that shows. There's literally nothing going on, then random screaming and whining.
Not even good enough to have it on as background noise - avoid like the plague.

Once you see the ending the movie makes sense. One great found footage type of movie. The director is wonderful. Make sure you watch it. Watch it and be scared.
Okay so I was looking for this movie since 2012 when it came out, I'm a HUGE found footage horror fan, I like how most ff movies dedicate at least 30 to 40 minutes to the lore of the film "Oh we're going to visit such and such and this and that happened but its all just fake probably" and then everyone dies and all you get is the footage they made before dying, the end!
This movie tries that and fails, the actors weren't bad, the movie itself just never takes off and then the last ten minutes of the film everything is resolved in a silly way.
To my surprise I had actually seen 90% of this film on a channel here in Mexico that's called "Panico!" and features all horror movies 24/7 with only a few commercial breaks, I was sadly disappointed to have acquired this film and halfway through realizing I'd seen it and disliked it, it's really lame and the backstory to it has nothing to do with what happens and when "it" happens it comes out of nowhere, I've seen horrible ff films but still recommend them to watch to either laugh at or enjoy even if the budget is super bad, this had a decent budget, good actors, decent back story but it was just lame.
