This film doesn't have much going for it other than the novelty of it being set in Saudi Arabia and having popular Saudi actors in it. The car chases and action sequences aren't too terrible, but the real missing factor to this movie is the plot.
The actors really had to stretch themselves given the poor writing. Fatima Al-Banawi is an incredible actress, but some of her lines felt forced and I kind of have to blame the director and writer for that. The same goes for Baraa.
His performance was surface level at best, although I'm sure he gave it his all. Overall the structure of the plot was lackluster, and the character's didn't have any depth.
Plus the ending was super confusing and felt out of pocket to Khaleeji culture.
Despite all of these flaws, I'm just glad that we're seeing more films set in Saudi Arabia with Saudi actors in them. If I were Netflix, I would focus on empowering Saudi directors and actors as opposed to bringing in directors from other countries.
While we all share common storylines as Arabs, the Saudi scene is much different and a Saudi director would definitely pick up on nuances that Khaleeji viewers would appreciate.
Overall, good effort from everyone involved and I hope to see an improvement in Saudi film-making in general, specifically within the thriller and action genres.

Keep it real: bad acting, watching it subbed would add to the drama but in Arabic it's just a s"hity episode of Eastenders at best. A car commercial would have been rejected for this film. From the get go I assumed it would have been a film with at least a mad max feel (takes 8 hours from Riyadh to Abu Dhabi) it didn't live up to expectations and would have rather watched an easy listening black screen to put me to sleep. To make it dramatic they could have added tchkovski or Verdi for the dramatic effect. It's hard to understand how Netflix see this as in the investors benefit. Very w0ke and no content. Time will tell.
Before I write about how bad this movie is.. this is not a Saudi film.. I don't know why they keep saying that... Who made this garbage is a Lebanese film director, the story line doesn't fit the culture of Saudi Arabia.. also he was the writer.. you can imagine how bad it will be !
And, how you can made a movie like this in 2022? It was awful.. the cast is terrible.. the director made the film like a commercial ad for BMW.. I can't stop writing about how bad this movie Is.. I wish I could give it "0" because everything was bad.
In the end.. I want to say something to Baraa Alem, You are not good at acting... You should stop... (please.)

Is this movie good ?, short answer, no, but isn't boring either !. It was quite fun. But the ending is underwhelming.
Long answer. The acting is..... acceptable, music choice is bad, classical Arab music right after an serious/action scene ?, that trope is fun sometimes but was executed horribly in this movie.
The cinematography is actually a redeeming factor in my eyes as it was pretty good. The characters start off as unlikeable, begin to feel more human and loveable, then quickly plummet into being unlikeable again
The plot is fun, but it was inspired heavily by duel so that doesn't count,
All the characters are one dimensional. The brother is a workaholic daddy's boy, who abandons his dreams for his dad. And the sister is a whiny little girl who somehow is so morally superior that she thinks murdering a poison animal for safety reasons is wrong, but accusing her family's migrant worker who didn't do anything of attempted murder.
The story isn't satisfying, it leaves you off with a sense of incompleteness
The aftermath of our character's actions are never addressed, making you loss your sense of immersion
One of the only redeeming qualities of the film is that it's never boring, surprisingly considering 95% of the movie takes place inside a car,
You can definitely enjoy the movie though, I know I did, even if it's bad what matters is the movie is fun.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie, though it had some glitches here and there. The actors were fantastic! More movies from this region should be made. What a landscape! And we should get to see more about the reality of this region and people. That Muslims are also kind and vulnerable people. That they too get scared and get hurt. People have emotions and have a social structure like anyone else. Whenever we see Muslims in films, they are either terrorists, or terrorists. We should have more films like they are also normal people like us. Thank you for this movie. Waiting to see more from this region.
