This film doesn't have much going for it other than the novelty of it being set in Saudi Arabia and having popular Saudi actors in it. The car chases and action sequences aren't too terrible, but the real missing factor to this movie is the plot.
The actors really had to stretch themselves given the poor writing. Fatima Al-Banawi is an incredible actress, but some of her lines felt forced and I kind of have to blame the director and writer for that. The same goes for Baraa.
His performance was surface level at best, although I'm sure he gave it his all. Overall the structure of the plot was lackluster, and the character's didn't have any depth.
Plus the ending was super confusing and felt out of pocket to Khaleeji culture.
Despite all of these flaws, I'm just glad that we're seeing more films set in Saudi Arabia with Saudi actors in them. If I were Netflix, I would focus on empowering Saudi directors and actors as opposed to bringing in directors from other countries.
While we all share common storylines as Arabs, the Saudi scene is much different and a Saudi director would definitely pick up on nuances that Khaleeji viewers would appreciate.
Overall, good effort from everyone involved and I hope to see an improvement in Saudi film-making in general, specifically within the thriller and action genres.

Might not be one of the best thrillers I have watched it was gripping and some good acting I like to the fact the whole film was set has a road trip where both characters got to drive the car could have had better twists at times and even more gripping if the crazy driver kidnapped the lead female character could have set for a better conclusion not the best thriller to watch but it is watchable and I feel people will enjoy it I like the fact it was set near a warm deserts road with a lot of twists to keep you interested it is one to watch probably the film could have been a little bit longer.

Before I write about how bad this movie is.. this is not a Saudi film.. I don't know why they keep saying that... Who made this garbage is a Lebanese film director, the story line doesn't fit the culture of Saudi Arabia.. also he was the writer.. you can imagine how bad it will be !
And, how you can made a movie like this in 2022? It was awful.. the cast is terrible.. the director made the film like a commercial ad for BMW.. I can't stop writing about how bad this movie Is.. I wish I could give it "0" because everything was bad.
In the end.. I want to say something to Baraa Alem, You are not good at acting... You should stop... (please.)

Keep it real: bad acting, watching it subbed would add to the drama but in Arabic it's just a s"hity episode of Eastenders at best. A car commercial would have been rejected for this film. From the get go I assumed it would have been a film with at least a mad max feel (takes 8 hours from Riyadh to Abu Dhabi) it didn't live up to expectations and would have rather watched an easy listening black screen to put me to sleep. To make it dramatic they could have added tchkovski or Verdi for the dramatic effect. It's hard to understand how Netflix see this as in the investors benefit. Very w0ke and no content. Time will tell.
From the beginning of the movie i stared realizing that UAE (the maker of this movie) trying to giving bad image of Saudi Arabia. I am a foreigner and lived 30 years in Riyadh and have travelled route 10 two times and this is not at all the situation which they have shown in the movie, as if it is law less country and anyone can do on the highway and no law or police. Rather UAE is famous for such things though its a tiny country by my own family members were haunted by a a horrible UAE citizen on the highway. Totally disappointing and a propaganda movie against Saudi Arabia made by UAE and this is not the first time UAE has done this. UAE is famous for false propaganda against other Muslim brother countries and showing to the world that they are the best where worst of all crimes are happening 24/7 but all are covered under immoralities.
The acting 👎🏼 the tough girl wanna be then cry then tough girl then blaming each other, not one scene/line made sense! And the ending wtf?! Why ?! And the brother tough and crybaby rich boy cant tell...is this an ad for nissan patrol? Toyoya land cruiser i dont know what type suv that is.
Or is it ad for bmw 730...😐 , im surprised its a 2022 movie with all that bad script and story telling, the writer/director did the worse job possible here, dont know abt the actress fatima but is it her or she needs some acting lessons?! This movie is a waste of time, i say watch it and you will know what i mean.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie, though it had some glitches here and there. The actors were fantastic! More movies from this region should be made. What a landscape! And we should get to see more about the reality of this region and people. That Muslims are also kind and vulnerable people. That they too get scared and get hurt. People have emotions and have a social structure like anyone else. Whenever we see Muslims in films, they are either terrorists, or terrorists. We should have more films like they are also normal people like us. Thank you for this movie. Waiting to see more from this region.

Just watched it today-brilliant movie. We all have stereotypes of rich spoiled Saudi Arabian citizens but as shown in the movie they are all like other people and suffer from the same anxieties and rejoice at simple things. . The chase scenes were incredible and the actors made it look plausible. Nice to see Saudi Arabians in casual dress. I hope I can go on the Route 10 someday (obviously I do not want a desperado chasing me from behind). The more such movies are made the more integration of Saudi with the rest of the World. This movie will give Russel Crowe's Unhinged on Netflix a run for its money!

The movie is excellent and deserves to be commended
But there are some errors that should be highlighted
Also, there should be a passage at the end of Who's the Man? Why is he chasing them? And how do they hear songs after a quick chase, and how do they leave the security man lying in the street without calling the police? Or send a report through the device? And how they entered Abu Dhabi on the white enclave?
The actors are very creative, and all thanks and appreciation to them, as well as the creative director in directing, is a great start and a film worthy of praise, were it not for some unintended errors.

Route 10 is a tight thriller set on a desert highway where a mysterious madman chases down a brother and sister. The car chase sequences are fantastic. And while the story is pretty straightforward, there is a fair amount of mystery involved as well. Who is the killer chasing them down? And why is he after them? Our heroes begin spinning theories, hoping that figuring out the motivation could lead to saving themselves.
The family dynamics between the siblings (and their father) are great, a cut above what the genre often has to offer. As the siblings get further and further along their journey, with the scars to match, their own relationship comes to ahead as well.

Is this movie good ?, short answer, no, but isn't boring either !. It was quite fun. But the ending is underwhelming.
Long answer. The acting is..... acceptable, music choice is bad, classical Arab music right after an serious/action scene ?, that trope is fun sometimes but was executed horribly in this movie.
The cinematography is actually a redeeming factor in my eyes as it was pretty good. The characters start off as unlikeable, begin to feel more human and loveable, then quickly plummet into being unlikeable again
The plot is fun, but it was inspired heavily by duel so that doesn't count,
All the characters are one dimensional. The brother is a workaholic daddy's boy, who abandons his dreams for his dad. And the sister is a whiny little girl who somehow is so morally superior that she thinks murdering a poison animal for safety reasons is wrong, but accusing her family's migrant worker who didn't do anything of attempted murder.
The story isn't satisfying, it leaves you off with a sense of incompleteness
The aftermath of our character's actions are never addressed, making you loss your sense of immersion
One of the only redeeming qualities of the film is that it's never boring, surprisingly considering 95% of the movie takes place inside a car,
You can definitely enjoy the movie though, I know I did, even if it's bad what matters is the movie is fun.

A suspense film, car chase and humor. The driver loses his shoe and ends up barefoot throughout the film to drive, run on the burning asphalt... it's an interesting film that mistreats its hero.
This detail reminds Clive Owen in Children of Men. Who loses his shoes, finds himself in flip-flops to flee, loses his right flip-flop, flees with his bloody foot damaged in the mud and rubble. But what courage! Action movies today often show heroes who are too prepared to flee... but not him.the other actors are good, the woman helps a lot, the fear of scorpions is really present because they are dangerous. A dramatic escape film.
