I so wanted to like this...

...unfortunately not even Trish Stratus could make me finish. The movie that is.

    That's my girl

I think the director here actually did a much better job of letting Trish Stratus come across as herself than any of the WWF etcetera shows I've seen her in, and that definitely made it worth watching. (Of course, it was arguably/technically the Director's job to make her seem like a Bounty Hunter and not herself, but that's another story entirely...)

Long story, but I was fortunate enough to spend about about maybe an hour hanging out with and talking-one-on-one with Trish Stratus after she was hired by the WWF but before she actually started working with them. (Plus some time watching her interact with others.) She was definitely "my type" so I'll never forget that chance to get know her.

Watching this movie, well, the script is bad, there was a plot hole could taxi a 757 Jumbo Jet through, but in addition to watching one of Trish's partners do really funny routines (which is worth watching) we get to see Trish do some of her "MMA" stuff.

What I really liked about the movie though, and this is a bit hard to explain, is it looked and seemed like Trish. The actress, the weight-lifter and the athlete who has to do all those "MMA" moves on WWF and the like.

Again, it's hard to explain, but it just seem like the women I had talked to so long ago. Right there on my screen, doing MMA and reading out her lines in a B movie plot.

Ok... I take back the "hard to explain part" because I just figured it out... I think what I like is that the director of this film did a much better job of bringing out some of Trish's beyond-just-her-awesome-looks endearing qualities better than anyone directing any of the many wrestling show's I've seen her in. And now that I've figure that out, I'm going to copy that to the top of this review, and submit it to IMDB.

Seriously, she's really a great person to get know if for some whatever reason you ever get a chance to.

Oh... btw... there's a photoshoot video of Trish in "Divas: Postcard from the Caribbean".... worth checking out. To be 100% honest, I expected it to filled with B. S. made-up dialog about the girls, but even though they added some "spin" to Trish's background, there wasn't a single word there that contradicted anything she had told me about herself. :-)

Wrestling promo dressed as a movie

I sometimes enjoy B Movies as they can be entertaining, this was in this line but the wooden acting and horribly staged fight scenes just killed any interest in the movie. The plot itself was believable but the way every scene was directed at the female wrestling star getting into a fight and kicking some ass, but it all got too much and boring, the wrestler had a great physique but not much in the way of acting talent. The funny guy was just plain stupid and not much of an actor or even a wrestler. The lead actor was restricted by the poor script and pregnant pauses where they would concoct some scenario to get into a giant fight, where any gang killers would have shot everyone dead within seconds, which should have happened to all actors, directors, producers and anyone else involved with this creation.

Trish always rocks ... and rolls

And kicks and punches and does all kinds of stuff (no pun intended). If you consider the action element to be the most important thing of the movie, you will find this to your liking. Don't expect this to be on the same level as some eastern action movies (martial arts and all that), but it does a more than decent job on the stunts and action scenes. Even if some maybe do not make too much sense, if you actually thought about them.

So as someone would say, do not think about them. If it always was that easy, right? Anyway, Trish Stratus is only one of many people in this and I am almost sad to say she didn't do too many movies in her career. Yes she was bound to the WWE brand (or WWF as it was called back then), but I'd have loved to see her in more stuff like this. But at least we have this ... something we can cherish and love for what it is: a b-movie action thingy!

    Trish's debut

I used to see Trish Strastus on WWE television and she was with them for several years before she decided to pursue other things and in 2011 she manage to do a film which she did some good acting even though the story in some area's were weak. I'll give Stratus kudos of acting in this film which was pretty much a indie production that had low budget but it's these kind of films that keep me watching to bide sometime like I am right now to watch CPAC on television. Hopefully Stratus will do another film hopefully a much more better film. She has good talents due to her background as a former professional wrestler who certainly had a great run being a WWE diva before leaving the company.
