I am not normally a fan of UK comedy made for TV that is shown on SKY. I normally switch a programme off it it fails to make me laugh at some point, normally after 10 minutes. Recent comedy programmes on TV, especially some of the remakes of classic comedy classics should have not been done, the classics should have been left alone.
This programme is original albeit Jack Whitehall's tribute to 1980's movies as he stated in a recent interview on TV.
I am not a fan of Jack's comedy but this did amuse me and I did laugh and have seen two episodes so far. I will watch the rest of the series to see how it develops.

To be honest, I was expecting a comedy in the line of Bad Education, so I was a little put off by the slow-going first episode, but did it get better with time !
By the end of the second episode I was hooked. The story, about a son learning about his father's true business, is nothing new but it is well written and goes forward. The dialogs are ok and it manages to avoid a lot of cliches that find places in other recent tv shows.
I don't usually leave reviews but I felt obligated to balances the mixed reviews here.
In conclusion, probably not the humour for everyone but perfect mix of story and style !

I really enjoyed this series. Very amusing and funny in parts. Good British humour.
This is better than a overall 6! Shows that are in reality closer to a 5-6 are getting overall 8 and higher. I like Whitehall in some things and not in others. For instance Fresh Meat. He was good in parts and others annoying. He does come across rather annoying in this but at least it's a not in your face, I'm so posh like F. M. Any ways I thought it was a decent little thriller series. Better than 80% of most the new stuff released recently. I haven't seen Rosie Perez in years! Come to think of it I don't know if there was anything after Pretty Woman but I've always liked her and she does a great job in this. In fact she pretty much caries the entire series I had forgotten how funny she can be and she hasn't changed at all. Judging that there is only 7 ratings this must not have had much exposure. I found it searching on Tubi last night and watched both seasons. Don't know how much help this review wlll be since obviously no one's heard about this but I say watch it if you do come across it!
First episode really whetted my appetite - I thought this was the start of something good......but now by episode 4 I'm getting an increasing feeling of being let down. The episodes aren't developing anything in particular and what's this? Only 30 minutes? This should be in 45 or 60 minute chunks. It looks and feels like a high quality production in everything but content. I'm a great fan of Jack Whitehall's TV stuff, but this should have been a crowing glory but seems to have failed.....I'll watch the rest just to see if it gets good again....can't see how though.
