Adam Richman has been robbed.
The Man v. Food star was on the road for Season 2 of his Food Network series Adam Richman Eats Britain when the show’s van was emptied by a thief during a bathroom stop.
Richman has chronicled the robbery on X, posting the live locations of belongings, including his laptop, as he awaits assistance from police.
The presenter said his crew’s filming gear was “completely cleaned out” during the incident, which he said took place in Barnet, north London, on Wednesday evening.

For Mike Hurst, a New York-based sound supervisor and sound mixer on several reality series, the pandemic was the beginning of the end of production work as he knew it.
After getting through a five-week shutdown on the TLC series “Darcey and Stacey,” a spinoff of “90 Day Fiancé,” he noticed a steep decline in the number of jobs available. In three years, 86% of his client roster vanished, including shows like “Man vs. Food” from the Cooking Channel, HGTV’s “Life Under Renovation” and DIY’s (Now Magnolia Network) “First Time Flippers.”
Reality programming, once considered a cheap and plentiful way to fill the pipeline of cable and streaming companies, is in a nosedive. The first half of 2024 saw the lowest series orders for unscripted programming since 2019, according to research from Ampere Analysis. The company recorded a peak of 493 overall unscripted series orders in the second quarter of 2024, a 22% decrease...

Updated with a statement from Original Media
The television production company behind such reality TV shows as Swamp People and Miami Ink agreed to pay $282,000 in uncompensated overtime as part of a settlement agreement reached with New York Attorney General Barbara D. Underwood.
The attorney general’s investigation that Original Media had misclassified employees, including production assistants and associate producers, as exempt from overtime pay. As a result, many workers who were entitled to overtime never received it.
The probe revealed that these production assistants and associate producers regularly worked at least 50 hours per week — and sometimes as many as 80 hours per week — without collecting overtime. Truly Original, the new entity formed in a merger of Original Media and True Entertainment, agreed to make restitution.

Original Media, the producer of “Miami Ink” and other reality shows, has agreed to pay $282,000 in back wages in a settlement with the New York attorney general’s office.
The company was accused of failing to pay overtime to production assistants and associate producers, who sometimes worked 50 to 80 hours a week. The settlement covers workers dating back to January 2009.
The settlement is the third involving such allegations against New York-based reality TV production companies. The office previously reached a settlement with Sharp Entertainment, the producers of “Man v. Food,” and with True Entertainment, which produced “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” True Entertainment and Original Media have since merged to form Truly Original.

Sharp Entertainment has reached a $226,000 settlement with the state of New York over overtime pay due to production staffers who worked on the company’s roster of unscripted series.
The agreement calls for Sharp to distribute the back pay to production assistants and associate producers who were wrongly denied overtime pay while working ore than 40 hours a week for the company that is home to such series as Travel Channel’s “Man V. Food” and A&E Network’s “Bad Ink.”
The company was accused of inaccurately classifying certain production staffers as exempt from New York state’s overtime pay rules despite job duties and pay scales that fell into the category of qualifying for overtime pay. Sharp Entertainment maintains that its compensation formulas were designed to ensure that employees would receive a regular weekly paycheck even in the face of “uncertain production schedules” on many shows.

MTV has named Condé Nast Entertainment executive Michael Klein as EVP Original Content. He will oversee all original programming across MTV and its related brands. MTV has been without a head of programming since Susanne Daniels exited her post as president of programming in July 2015. At the time, the plan was to not fill the position, with EVP Scripted Development Mina Lefevre and unscripted chief, EVP Series Development Lauren Dolgen, appointed co-heads of programming, reporting to then-mtv president Stephen Friedman.
The appointment of Klein was made by new MTV president Sean Atkins who replaced Friedman last fall. It is part of the revamp at the network, which is looking for a ratings turnaround under new Viacom boss Doug Herzog, President of Viacom Music and Entertainment Group. With each pro they defeat — average Joes are the judges — their cash bounty grows even bigger. And it won’t be easy. The channel said Tuesday that Adam Richman's show has been postponed indefinitely, but it didn't explain why. Man Finds Food was to debut Wednesday.
The channel's move came days after the slimmed-down Richman posted his photo on Instagram with the hashtag "thinspiration."

Adam Richman, of Man v. Food, and his new show Man Finds Food have been pulled from the Travel Channel after Richman went on a social media rant against critics, telling one user to commit suicide.

The drama began when Richman, who recently lost 70 pounds after Man v. Food went off the air in 2012, posted a photo on Instagram of himself standing in suit pants he bought last year that are now too big. He captioned the photo with the hashtag “thinspiration,” which, as fans were quick to point out, is commonly used among online communities that are pro-anorexia and pro-bulimia.
Richman Lashed Out At Critics
When commenters pointed out how dangerous the term “thinspiration” can be – not to mention how offensive it is to those struggling with eating disorders and body image issues – Richman lashed out, telling one user “Dilligaf” (meaning...

Adam Richman–the formerly fluffy host of Man v. Food who irked online folks by using the word “thinspiration” to describe his recent weight loss–may be on the cusp of losing his new show too.
The Travel Channel recently announced that it was postponing the July 2 debut of Man Finds Food, a new show that would have sent Richman on the hunt for off-the-beaten-path restaurants and menu items. A spokesman for the cable network wouldn’t provide a reason for the decision, though the timing is suspect given Richman’s recent online tirade. After he posted a photo on...

The new fall season is closer than you think, and NBC has released their full schedule. Apart from reality favorites The Biggest Loser and The Voice, they are mixing things up quite a bit.
Take a look at a complete preview of the shows coming your way, and mark your calendars. It looks good for NBC this year, and while I’m not sure all of these look like winners, I think you’ll find at least a couple that you’re really going to like.

As with many of the challenges on 'Man v. Food Nation' (Wednesdays, 9Pm on Travel), the Elote Café & Catering Puffy Taco Challenge doesn't sound too crazy on paper. All you have to do is eat 23 puffy tacos in 90 minutes. That's a lot of time, you'd think, except the previous record was 22 tacos. And then host Adam Richman shows the puffy tacos being made, topped with free-range chicken breast, caramelized onions, romaine lettuce, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, and crema fresca.
Then it starts to look pretty tough, maybe even for Us Navy Second Class officer Manny Groll, who took the challenge. "You have 90 minutes to take down 23 puffy tacos in order to be crowned the new Puffy Taco Master," said Richman. Groll had a fighting spirit. "I wanna be on that wall as number one," he said.

For years, Adam Richman put his reputation and stomach on the line accepting outrageous food challenges at local restaurants around the country on 'Man v. Food.' These days, he gets a little help with the culinary challenges on 'Man v. Food Nation' (Wednesdays, 9Pm on Travel). On Wednesday's episode, he recruited a Rhode Island rugby player named Connor McQuade to take the Hot Wiener Challenge at Olneyville NY System in Providence.
The Hot Wiener Challenge meant eating fifteen hot dogs, fully-loaded with mustard, onions, and meat sauce, in 45 minutes. McQuade got off to a fast start, and had 39 minutes left to eat ten hot dogs. If he could do it, Richman said, he would "achieve eternal Providence food glory." If he lost, he'd have to face his disappointed teammates.
