I ended up seeing this show by "accident" and boy am I glad I did - binged it in one night. Very good and heartfelt acting (I am not a cryer but I cried). Being Swedish I can sometimes feel that the dialogue becomes very theatrical but not here. Every emotion, good and bad, hit me right through the screen and I will be on the look out for a second season!

This series is not for the faint hearted, and it can be triggering for those who have experienced emotional abuse. While that's said I'll recommend it to anyone who wants to see something real. It's emotional and shows how complex growing up with narcissistic parents is. Thanks for giving this topic a space between all the unrealistic shows about young adult life and especially narcissistic and sociopathic people. The actors seem genuine and sometimes you will wonder if they have experienced similar things in their lives to be able to show these emotions. This series is not for those who like to sugarcoat things. Thanks Amy Deasismont, I'm looking forward to seeing your productions in the future.
I started this series just because I couldnt find anything else interesting and seemed okayish but didnt expect too much.
Wow, I was surprised for sure! Its a quite sad series, deep, emotional and deals with very difficult subjects. At times I felt I was in the middle of a therapy session asking for help or wanting to help somehow but couldnt.
I really liked the safe space reference and also the music through both Seasons 1 and 2 is amazing.
I am happy with the ending and finding out that Amy actually wrote it, again wow! Truly talented!
Definitely recommend it and hopefully now that its on Netflix more people will get to watch it!

I was immediatly drawn in by the story and stayed glued in front of the TV until the very last scene.
The story reflects in a truthful and captivating way what it's like to be almost an adult trying to have relationships in Stockholm.
The charachters Sigrid & Sam are consistently failing to act out their emotions towards each other. Realistically they mirror being stuck in the greyzone of the denying and somewhat cold approach you are expected to have towards love and relations at this age. Where nothing can ever be outspoken or real and everyone pretends is completely normal. Sigrid trying to follow these conflicting and unspoken relationships laws are making one destructive choice after another, and hurting others as well as herself along the way.
The characters are authentic and loveable. I feel for all of them and really want to know what they be up to next.
I'm hoping for another season and am looking forward to more creations and acting from Amy Deasismont in the future.

... very talented, in 2005 at 13yo her pop-single 'What's in It for Me' was a hit in Sweden, Denmark, Norway & Finland & most-played song in Poland remaining in top-ten for 4 months ... releasing six studio albums she's youngest person in Sweden to have a 'greatest-hits' album
... in addition, acting mostly in TV since age of eleven ... now writing & staring in Thunder in My Heart ... an unusual comedy-drama with many odd moments ... there's little doubt she's the sole reason to stay watching to see what happens.
