The characters were all generally unlikeable but I'm guessing that was the intention. Mia was the character I liked the most. Probably because she was not the spoilt rich kid but she just hung around them to try and be like them. She seemed the most real.
The unhappy swinging couples that were the parents was something I really didn't understand. I'm guessing they were showing that just because people have money it doesn't necessarily make them happy. It was just weird.
While it was set in 1995, and there was elements of the 90s included like Roxette playing in the background and the Saab 9-3 convertible, the fashion/hair styles seemed very modern and didn't really feel 90s.

I typically do not start watching a new series that are only around 30 minutes per episode but somehow I did with Barracuda Queens and that's ok. The language is dubbed not very well but that's ok as well. It didn't negatively affect my opinion of it because I enjoyed the short easy breezy series. In no time I was finished with it and wishing they would have given us a hour long episode when making it. I am from the states and had never heard anything about the girls but we are similar in age. Maybe that plays a role in why I enjoyed it as much as I did. I can't help but wonder how they all turned out. I hope well!
...got sucked in!
It's not superb, it's not high-class acting overall, but it's fun. Five teenage brats decide to team up to plan a raid to repay the debt they own. The moment it works, they get addicted and decide to do it again, and again, and again.
Although it's not the best acting you might have seen, it's visible that the actors are enjoying it and that all their characters have their own little and bigger problems. It's over the top drama, but the way they present it keeps us viewers watching. The chemistry between our 5 female leads is good and while all their actions can be questioned every few minutes, it's still a nice show to watch.
7/10. The show itself is a 6/10, but Alva Bratt's acting (Louise/Lollo) adds one point. Especially the parts where she plays the psycho is where she shines. Can't wait to see her playing a real villain somewhere.

I went into Barracuda Girls with no expectations, and what I got was an unexpected rollercoaster of humor and cringe-worthy moments that I didn't see coming.
The show features a cast of unbearably mean, self-centered girls who, honestly, could give the characters from Pretty Little Liars a run for their money. And let me be clear: that's both a compliment and an insult. The characters' behavior is as manipulative and petty as it is hilariously exaggerated. At times, you're left wondering whether to laugh or cringe at how outlandish their antics get.
But that's where the charm of the show lies. It's unapologetically over-the-top, and while you might roll your eyes at the characters, you can't help but get sucked into the absurdity of it all.
