One of the standout aspects of "White Cat Legend" is the bromance between the main characters. Their camaraderie and mutual support add depth to the story, providing both touching and humorous moments that will make you root for them even more.

The back ground of the story is in the Tang dynasty, when the legendary female emperor Wu Zetian has taken control of the government. The dynasty used to belong to her husband and his family, the Li family, and obviously they have a good amount of power in their hands. Wu was afraid of them, therefore killing or imprisoning a large amount of the Li family members. Also, Wu was a really grim person, having hundreds of lives under her hands. Li Bing is also a member of the family, so some people might not understand that. This anime is really good overall, yet with the cultural differences it may be hard to understand.
