The back ground of the story is in the Tang dynasty, when the legendary female emperor Wu Zetian has taken control of the government. The dynasty used to belong to her husband and his family, the Li family, and obviously they have a good amount of power in their hands. Wu was afraid of them, therefore killing or imprisoning a large amount of the Li family members. Also, Wu was a really grim person, having hundreds of lives under her hands. Li Bing is also a member of the family, so some people might not understand that. This anime is really good overall, yet with the cultural differences it may be hard to understand.

"White Cat Legend" is such a fun and underrated gem! It's packed with adventure, mystery, and humor that'll keep you hooked from the get-go.
The characters are not super interesting, the plot twists are not wild, and the visuals not are stunning but it is definitely a g very good show!
If you're in the mood for something different and totally binge-worthy, give "White Cat Legend" a watch.
Especially cat lovers must watch! Miyawww!
