Throughout Regis Philbin's incredible life, he became an absolute television icon who spent a lot of time with other legends like David Letterman. In fact, Regis was David's most frequent guest, he almost went to the hospital due to the talk show host, and Letterman once crashed Regis' talk show. In addition to all of those moments that haven't been forgotten, Regis was also part of a major moment in reality TV history.
When a lot of people think about reality TV, they envision the top MTV shows, the most popular competition shows, and the juiciest dating shows. What sometimes gets forgotten these days, however, is that Regis was hosting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire when the show arguably had the top reality TV moment ever.

David Koechner has become a ubiquitous presence in comedy films over the last ten years, from "Anchorman" and "The 40 Year-Old Virgin" to "Waiting ..." and "Get Smart." He recently played a detective in the offbeat ensemble comedy "Small Apartments," with Matt Lucas and Billy Crystal.
He currently stars in "Full On Koechner," a YouTube-based web series in partnership with Official Comedy and found at Koechner's YouTube channel.
Koechner recently spoke with us about tighty-whities, Malcolm Gladwell and becoming Champ Kind again.
"Small Apartments" is probably the darkest movie I've ever laughed out loud at in my life. What were your emotions while reading the script for the first time?
[laughs] Yeah, there's some oddity to it, which I like. Did you ever see a movie called "Man Bites Dog"?
I've heard of "Man Bites Dog," but have never seen it.
That's the darkest, funniest film I've ever seen. But probably after that,...

Pulling off a red hot casting coup with Jennifer Aniston, Mark Duplass and Ben Kingsley attached, Justin Reardon's next feature film is the wild and hilarious comedy Convention that is set to shoot this summer with K5 International bringing the project to the European Film Market in Berlin this week.
Aniston (Just Go with It, Marley & Me), Duplass (Safety Not Guaranteed, Zero Dark Thirty) and Kingsley (Iron Man 3, Ender's Game) are set to star in this mind-bending comedy, embarking on a Charlie Kaufman-esque journey that puts them between the worlds of the cardboard box industry and inter-dimensional molecular mayhem. Justin Reardon has just finished production on his directorial debut A Many Splintered Thing starring Chris Evans and Michelle Monaghan

Professionally speaking, Luke Wilson has been in a bit of a rut. It.s not that he hasn.t worked. He has. It.s more like no one has bothered to go see his last few films, from Death at a Funeral or Middle Men to something called Tenure and another something called Blonde Ambition. Is that a spin-off from the Legally Blonde franchise that we.re just now hearing about? Maybe Million Dollar Man will get Wilson back on track . or at least, back up to the level his brother, Owen, appears to be operating on. Variety.s ShowBlitz says Million Dollar will be an indie sports comedy that casts Wilson as a down-and-out route driver for a soda company who gets one last shot to put his life back on the right path when he goes out for a kicking gig on a football team. Needless to say,...

Steve Buscemi (The Big Lebowski) headlines the television series as Enoch “Nucky” Thompson, who’s the target of an investigation for voter fraud, has the chance of going to jail and is facing insurrection by those he considers his closest allies.

Now that convention season is officially upon us, it seems appropriate to turn our sights to the most anticipated of all conventions: the national box convention. That's right my friends, Sir Ben Kingsley (Hugo) and Mark Duplass (Safety Not Guaranteed) will star in the indie pic, Convention, a sci-fi comedy centered around a box convention, at which an intrepid inventor (Duplass) premieres his creation: a five-sided box. His revolutionary design seems destined to turn the world of folded boxes on its end until he learns that his production process alters the space-time continuum. Commercial director Justin Reardon will make his feature debut in Convention, with a script from Christopher Painter. Hit the jump for more on Convention. Variety reports that Jennifer Aniston is also circling the role for Duplass's character's sister, an instrumental figure in preventing the end of the world due to the inventor's "special fold." Wentworth Miller, best known for his Prison Break role, has signed up to play the lead in an upcoming Mike Million‘s project titled Analog.
The project is already being described as “indie dramedy” and Million will direct from his own screenplay, which appeared on the Black List in 2005.
Miller joins the film which will follow an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world.
That’s basically all we know about the project at this moment, beside the fact that Analog is budgeted at around $3 million and that Brendan McDonald is in charge for producing.
But let me remind you that last year Million revealed:
“When I wrote “Analog,” it was the first success that I had with scriptwriting in Hollywood. Everyone liked it. It was a great entry into the business. For me. But one of the things that happens when you write an interesting,...

Even after the series which he was the star of, Prison Break, was canceled in 2009, Wentworth Miller has managed to build a career for himself outside of the TV screen. Not only is his original script Stoker being directed by Park Chan-wook, but BrightenYourScreen (via ComingSoon) tells us that he’s signed on to star in the indie dramedy Analog, from writer and director Mike Million.
The script follows a young man (Miller), who is “an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world,” hence the title. Shooting begins this summer in Michigan. Million, whose name makes me think he used to be a professional wrestler, previously made Tenure and is said to have done a re-write of Paul Haggis‘ script Honeymoon with Harry. Not many more details have been given out at this time, but stick around for when more come in.

English-born, American actor Wentworth Miller has just signed on to star in the indie drama Analog.
Based on a script written by Mike Million that appeared on the 2005 Black List, the story is about an introverted genius who struggles to find love in this growing digital world.
Producer Brendan McDonald, whose other productions include the Luke Wilson comedy Tenure and the Irish indie The Runway, was able to scrape together 3 million dollars so far for the project and expects to film in Michigan this summer.
Princeton educated Miller may be joining the Black List ranks with Millions. It seems the former Prison Break star has been moonlighting as a screenwriter and using the pseudonym Ted Foulke. His drama Stoker has attracted Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth and director Chan-wook Park.
Looks like that ivy league education is paying off!

On the new TNT drama Rizzoli & Isles, Sasha Alexander plays Maura Isles, a Boston medical examiner who is usually more comfortable among the dead than the living. Her devotion to logic and science leads to her tendency to diagnose the people she meets, which makes for some socially awkward situations.
Despite their many differences, Isles and her best friend, Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon), are two strong, brilliant women who work together to solve some of Boston’s most complex cases. During an interview to promote the series premiere, actress Sasha Alexander talked about what made her want to return to series television and how much she enjoys working with co-star Angie Harmon. For Sasha Alexander, film affords more opportunities for acting risks than episodic TV. The former provides a single dose of a self-contained universe, whereas with recurring roles on the small screen, one "has to create a three-dimensional character that audiences are going to want to watch each week. You don't have a beginning, middle, and end. You may have some basic idea where the character is going and you may not." Backstories emerge sporadically, if at all, she adds: "You're leaving little crumbs for the audience. It can be frustrating." Alexander knows something about episodic TV, having appeared on "NCIS," "Dawson's Creek," and "Presidio Med." She is currently tackling medical examiner Maura Isles on "Rizzoli & Isles," a new TNT police drama based on the novels of Tess Gerritsen and co-starring Angie Harmon as blue-collar detective Jane Rizzoli. By contrast, Isles has a wealthy family and a posh education. "I like...

David Koechner secures Tenure as comedy legend!

He also co-created the infamous The Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show, appearing as Gerald Tibbons, half of the comic musical duo who once toured this great country alongside Dave "Gruber" Allen, bringing their dynamic show from one knick-knack truck stop shack to the next before landing a short-lived stint on Comedy Central and then disbanding completely. Mike Million makes his feature length debut with the hilarious new comedy Tenure, which hits DVD on April 13th. This darkly hilarious dramedy stars Luke Wilson and Improv legend David Koechner as two wayward professors seeking permanent teaching positions at their respected college. When newcomer Elaine Grasso (Gretchen Mol) gets tenure over longtime mainstays Jay Hadley (David Koechner) and Charlie Thurber (Luke Wilson), Jay convinces his friend to sabotage the woman's life. Off kilter hilarity ensues as Tenure wobbles gloriously off the tracks of predictability for a fresh and inventive take on educational politics. We recently caught up with Mr. Million to chat about his latest project. Here's what Mike had to say:
Did Michael Cudlitz drive his squad car in off the set of Southland? Or is it just a coincidence that Officer John Cooper makes an extended cameo in your film?
Mike Million: He only plays cops.

I like Luke Wilson. In fact, I’m willing to completely overlook those wretched cell phone commercials because I know the guy is capable of better things. For instance, writer/director Mike Million’s 2009 comedy “Tenure” looks pretty amusing, mostly because I’m willing to give anything with Wilson and co-star David Koechner a spin in the ol’ digital video disc player without a second thought. The film follows a college professor’s attempt to secure tenure, a venture that is thrust into jeopardy when a beautiful new candidate enters the picture. I’m getting a strong “Election” vibe from the trailer, which, of course, is a good thing. “Tenure” will arrive on DVD this April, so be sure to finalize your schedule beforehand.

The 16th annual Austin Film Festival opened with a true screenwriting gem, Serious Moonlight. Penned by the late Adrienne Shelley around the same time she created Waitress – Shelley was murdered shortly after wrapping Waitress, before she had the opportunity to direct Serious Moonlight. I loved Waitress, and have been a fan of Adrienne Shelley since seeing her act in Hal Hartley’s The Unbelievable Truth and Trust. Serious Moonlight | Review "...the script is chock-full of clever Hitchcockian twists along with a impeccably strong (and mysterious) conclusion. Serious Moonlight is very conservatively directed by first-timer Cheryl Hines (who acted in Waitress with Shelley)." ____________________________________________________ I have long been curious about C.D. Payne’s 1993 epistolary novel Youth in Revolt: The Journals of Nick Twisp, and unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to read it prior to the Aff screening of Miguel Arteta’s film. There is a good reason Hollywood continually makes Animal House wannabes and avoids producing films that actually focus on academia. Kids prefer their college movies to be about the fun stuff. And so a movie like Old School grossed $75 million while another Luke Wilson comedy called Tenure currently lacks a distributor. The latter film may also be hilarious, as a satire of the tenure process, but if it doesn’t concentrate more on beer bongs and naked co-eds, it won’t attract as big an audience. And according to some scholars, it may not even resonate with them, because it couldn’t possibly be what the process is really like. Variety says the film centers on a businessman who builds an online billing company and is consequently pulled into chaotic mess involving conmen, federal agents and terrorists.
Gallo, whose credits include “Bad Boys” and “Code Name: The Cleaner,” co-wrote the script with Andy Weiss. Oxymoron Entertainment is financing the project.
Wilson is currently onscreen in “Henry Poole is Here.” He is also filming Mile Million’s comedy “Tenure.”

Rarely making media headlines with his love life, Luke Wilson is reported to have been dating a lady who used to be a basketball player during her school years. The woman is identified as Meg Simpson and various gossip websites have claimed that she's 6 foot tall, only 2 inches shorter than Luke.
More about Meg, she reportedly is 28 years old, has blonde hair and used to play basketball at Yale. She met Luke for the first time at a sports event at the University of Pennsylvania in July. The actor actually went there with fellow movie star Morgan Freeman. Yet, it is claimed that he spent most of his time there having a conversation with her.
Despite the not-yet-confirmed dating report, rumor has it that Luke and Meg have been having a string of dates. He even has introduced her to some of his friends. "Everyone really liked her. She seems great,...

Sooner or later our favorite TV shows all come to an end and the cast and crew all go their separate ways. If we're lucky, our favorite performers return in new shows and movies. Here's where you'll be able to see some of them.
Sasha Alexander (Dawson's Creek) is currently working on Tenure, an indie film that stars Luke Wilson (That '70s Show), David Koechner (Still Standing), and Michael Cudlitz (Standoff). The movie's a comedy and centers around a college professor who competes for tenure with a hot-shot female colleague.
Michelle C. Bonilla (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) is booked to film Montana Amazon. The film stars Olympia Dukakis (Center of the Universe) and Haley Joel Osment (Murphy Brown), and features veterans like Veronica Cartwright (Leave It to Beaver, L.A. Law) and Ellen Geer (Falcon Crest).
If you're in the New York City area, you can see Bebe Neuwirth (Cheers) perform a one-woman show at Feinstein's.
