David Koechner has become a ubiquitous presence in comedy films over the last ten years, from "Anchorman" and "The 40 Year-Old Virgin" to "Waiting ..." and "Get Smart." He recently played a detective in the offbeat ensemble comedy "Small Apartments," with Matt Lucas and Billy Crystal.

He currently stars in "Full On Koechner," a YouTube-based web series in partnership with Official Comedy and found at Koechner's YouTube channel.

Koechner recently spoke with us about tighty-whities, Malcolm Gladwell and becoming Champ Kind again.

"Small Apartments" is probably the darkest movie I've ever laughed out loud at in my life. What were your emotions while reading the script for the first time?

Wentworth Miller, best known for his Prison Break role, has signed up to play the lead in an upcoming Mike Million‘s project titled Analog.

The project is already being described as “indie dramedy” and Million will direct from his own screenplay, which appeared on the Black List in 2005.

Miller joins the film which will follow an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world.

That’s basically all we know about the project at this moment, beside the fact that Analog is budgeted at around $3 million and that Brendan McDonald is in charge for producing.

Even after the series which he was the star of, Prison Break, was canceled in 2009, Wentworth Miller has managed to build a career for himself outside of the TV screen. Not only is his original script Stoker being directed by Park Chan-wook, but BrightenYourScreen (via ComingSoon) tells us that he’s signed on to star in the indie dramedy Analog, from writer and director Mike Million.

The script follows a young man (Miller), who is “an introverted genius who tries to find a love connection in an increasingly digital world,” hence the title. Shooting begins this summer in Michigan. Million, whose name makes me think he used to be a professional wrestler, previously made Tenure and is said to have done a re-write of Paul Haggis‘ script Honeymoon with Harry. Not many more details have been given out at this time, but stick around for when more come in.

Producer Brendan McDonald, whose other productions include the Luke Wilson comedy Tenure and the Irish indie The Runway, was able to scrape together 3 million dollars so far for the project and expects to film in Michigan this summer.

Princeton educated Miller may be joining the Black List ranks with Millions. It seems the former Prison Break star has been moonlighting as a screenwriter and using the pseudonym Ted Foulke. His drama Stoker has attracted Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth and director Chan-wook Park.

On the new TNT drama Rizzoli & Isles, Sasha Alexander plays Maura Isles, a Boston medical examiner who is usually more comfortable among the dead than the living. Her devotion to logic and science leads to her tendency to diagnose the people she meets, which makes for some socially awkward situations.

David Koechner secures Tenure as comedy legend!

David Koechner is an improv legend and SNL veteran who has starred in such classic cult hits as Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Snakes on a Plane and Run, Ronnie, Run (just to name a slight few). He also co-created the infamous The Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show, appearing as Gerald Tibbons, half of the comic musical duo who once toured this great country alongside Dave "Gruber" Allen, bringing their dynamic show from one knick-knack truck stop shack to the next before landing a short-lived stint on Comedy Central and then disbanding completely. Not to fret, though, as we recently caught up with Mr. Koechner to celebrate the upcoming DVD release of his latest comedy Tenure. Mike Million makes his feature length debut with the hilarious new comedy Tenure, which hits DVD on April 13th. This darkly hilarious dramedy stars Luke Wilson and Improv legend David Koechner as two wayward professors seeking permanent teaching positions at their respected college. When newcomer Elaine Grasso (Gretchen Mol) gets tenure over longtime mainstays Jay Hadley (David Koechner) and Charlie Thurber (Luke Wilson), Jay convinces his friend to sabotage the woman's life. Off kilter hilarity ensues as Tenure wobbles gloriously off the tracks of predictability for a fresh and inventive take on educational politics. We recently caught up with Mr. Million to chat about his latest project. Here's what Mike had to say:

Did Michael Cudlitz drive his squad car in off the set of Southland? Or is it just a coincidence that Officer John Cooper makes an extended cameo in your film?

Mike Million: He only plays cops.

I like Luke Wilson. In fact, I’m willing to completely overlook those wretched cell phone commercials because I know the guy is capable of better things. For instance, writer/director Mike Million’s 2009 comedy “Tenure” looks pretty amusing, mostly because I’m willing to give anything with Wilson and co-star David Koechner a spin in the ol’ digital video disc player without a second thought. The film follows a college professor’s attempt to secure tenure, a venture that is thrust into jeopardy when a beautiful new candidate enters the picture. I’m getting a strong “Election” vibe from the trailer, which, of course, is a good thing. “Tenure” will arrive on DVD this April, so be sure to finalize your schedule beforehand.

Luke Wilson and Giovanni Ribisi have signed on to star in George Gallo’s “Middle Men,” an indie comedy about the origins of the Internet porn business.

Variety says the film centers on a businessman who builds an online billing company and is consequently pulled into chaotic mess involving conmen, federal agents and terrorists.

Gallo, whose credits include “Bad Boys” and “Code Name: The Cleaner,” co-wrote the script with Andy Weiss. Oxymoron Entertainment is financing the project.

Wilson is currently onscreen in “Henry Poole is Here.” He is also filming Mile Million’s comedy “Tenure.”

As for Ribisi, it’s been a while since we last saw him on the big screen. He recently wrapped filming for Michael Mann’s upcoming crime drama “Public Enemies.”...

Sasha Alexander (Dawson's Creek) is currently working on Tenure, an indie film that stars Luke Wilson (That '70s Show), David Koechner (Still Standing), and Michael Cudlitz (Standoff). The movie's a comedy and centers around a college professor who competes for tenure with a hot-shot female colleague.

Michelle C. Bonilla (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) is booked to film Montana Amazon. The film stars Olympia Dukakis (Center of the Universe) and Haley Joel Osment (Murphy Brown), and features veterans like Veronica Cartwright (Leave It to Beaver, L.A. Law) and Ellen Geer (Falcon Crest).

If you're in the New York City area, you can see Bebe Neuwirth (Cheers) perform a one-woman show at Feinstein's.

NEW YORK -- Andrew Daly and Gretchen Mol will form an Ivy League love triangle with Luke Wilson in the indie comedy Tenure. Meanwhile, Daly and Geoff Stultz have joined the DreamWorks comedy She's Out of My League.

In Mike Million's Tenure, Wilson will play a college professor who battles for tenure with a formidable colleague (Mol) and competes for her affection with her blowhard boyfriend (Daly). David Koechner also stars in the Blowtorch Entertainment film, shooting this month in Philadelphia. Paul Schiff, Tai Duncan and Brendan McDonald produce, and Kelly Rodriques, Richard Hull and Dominic Ianno executive produce.

In Jim Field Smith's romantic comedy League, Daly will play the boss of an airport security guard (Jay Baruchel) who falls for a seemingly unattainable beauty (Alice Eve). Stults (Wedding Crashers) will play her handsome ex-boyfriend. Jimmy Miller is producing and George Gatins is executive producing the film, which began shooting this week in Pittsburgh.

Daly (Semi-Pro) just booked a role in Steven Soderbergh's The Informant and next appears in What Happens in Vegas...
