    Improv Acting?

The writing for this show is terrible. It could pass as amateur improvisation. When two people interact, it's as though they are having two different conversations. They spout off random rebuttals to each other. For no reason they fly off the handle.

The acting is forced and comes across fake. Their line delivery stumbles -can't tell if it's supposed to be that way or a language gap?

The people in the group just randomly spout off lines. I know I keep repeating this, but I'm reviewing this show as I watch it and it's a constant and repetitive scenario.

The writing is garbage. The acting is less than amateur. At least there were no special effects to wreck.

    Decent storyline but...

I love stories where the truth is slowly revealed, and I love stories where the characters have to use their brains to escape a confined situation. Unfortunately, these characters were not clever and many of them unlikable from the start, at least not through the first 8 episodes, which is all I'm willing to watch. The acting was good for the most part, but nearly every non-native English speaker sounded awkward - not their fault, and good for them for being able to speak more than one language, but it took me out of the story a few times. The plot was interesting, a who dunnit in an interesting, locked-in location but the dialogue was horrible and repetitive. The time wasted yelling and threatening each other was eye-rolling; not to mention all the time wasted on inane dialogue, all of which could have been used to attempt an escape. The book, Dead of Winter by Riley Coates does this premise (strangers brought together for a specific reason) much better.

Good writing, and a strong cast

Just finished watching the first season (8 episodes), and I definitely want to know more.

OK, not every performance in the show is Emmy-worthy - a couple of the supporting roles could have been better - but the performances from the main cast and their interactions as their relationships grew and changed, certainly worked for me. I became invested in Emma's dilemma, the dynamic between Bobby/Nick and the others, Preston and his wife's difficulty to communicate...

There were many threads to this show, and I wanted to pull on them all. I'm really looking forward to S2, and the opportunity to learn a little more...

    A SOLID SHOW!

EDIT: OK, so season 2 came along a year later and, I recently caught up with it it. I liked S1, LOVED S2!!!! More action, faster flowing story and each episode brought us closer towards the reveal which - I DID NOT EXPECT!

There was obviously a little more money spent on the second season, as the wider locations and some of the transportation/effects shots showed.

The surviving (literally) cast really worked hard and well to make what could have been a very static story into a great thriller. Multiple twists, a deeper look into their pasts...

Look, this is not your multi-million blockbuster, and it suffers a little because of that - but it really IS a LITTLE. It's a HIGH-END show nonetheless. Not sure how they'd manage a S3, but I'd love one!!!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Yeah. This was a lot of fun.

Enough suspense and twists in S1 to keep me watching.

Only 8 episodes, which actually worked for me, as I didn't have to put my life on hold to watch smth new.

IMDb says S2 is coming soon. Prolly watch S1 again so that I'm up to speed and can finally get to know who/what/where/when, etc. My money's on... nah! I won't spoil it - lol!
