Like each season of “Only Murders,” details regarding Waltz’s role and storyline are being kept under wraps. Production is currently underway on the new season.
Waltz will appear alongside “Only Murders in the Building” stars Martin Short, Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Michael Cyril Creighton, who most recently traveled to Los Angeles in Season 4 to shepherd the film adaptation of their podcast. "The Witcher" season 4 has a major challenge on its hands with the recasting of its main character. After three seasons in blond wigs and leather, Henry Cavill has departed the Continent and Liam Hemsworth ("The Hunger Games") will be taking over his role. "The Witcher" EP Tomek Bagiński has said that the change won't just be glossed over, promising "we have a very, very good plan to introduce our new Geralt" that is "very, very close to the meta ideas which are deeply embedded in the books."
Whatever the plan is, it seems that Netflix is satisfied with its execution -- at least enough to green light "The Witcher" season 5. The official account for the series on X (formerly known as Twitter) showed the cast assembling for a season 4 table read and announced a fifth and final season still to come. It is the latest streamer to remove titles from its service following similar moves by Paramount+, Disney+, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max and AMC Networks.

August isn't especially famous for its great movies. As months go, the eighth one on the calendar has often been a bit of a wasteland for Hollywood, as blockbusters peter off, kids have a lot less free time and money, and studio executives need to find somewhere to dump their proverbial dead bodies.
If you want a good example, you can pretty much throw a dart at any year after "Jaws" popularized the concept of summer blockbuster season. For example, let's take a look at 1993. 30 years ago, August was a month for dreck comedies like "Son of the Pink Panther," family film misfires like "Father Hood" and "Surf Ninjas," and the weird-ass "Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday."
But then again, there are exceptions to every rule. There were also a few excellent motion pictures in August 1993. The increasingly timeless classic "The Fugitive" came out that month, along with...

The Witcher is ready to move on without Henry Cavill and for Liam Hemsworth to take his place. Last year, after surprisingly returning as Superman in a brief cameo on Black Adam's post-credit scene, Cavill announced he would no longer keep playing Geralt de Rivia on the Netflix hit series after season three.
Now that the two batch of episodes of the third installment of the show have already released on the streaming platform, the team behind the series needs to start thinking of leaving Henry's portrayal of the main character behind and help Liam Hemsworth on his journey on becoming the new Geralt. Of course, it won't be easy, since fans have been slamming Netflix for continuing the story without its big star, but it seems that's not a problem for the rest of the cast. Or at least for Anya Chalotra.

After 15 seasons of Supernatural and nearly 330 episodes, the series gained a reputation for being a show that went on for too long. By the time the final season rolled around, fans were shocked to hear that it was finally coming to an end. While most diehard fans were heartbroken, many agreed it was time.
The later seasons of Supernatural kept getting more and more ridiculous. Yet, there's a reason that the show became so popular. Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in Fubar, the eight-episode action-comedy series now streaming on Netflix. Schwarzenegger plays a retired CIA operative who is pulled back into the field one last time only to join his spy daughter Emma (played by Monica Barbaro) on assignment. In 1939, Sadaho Maeda was born in Fukuoka, the third of five children to an Imperial Army pilot and a retired track-and field runner. While still a toddler, the family moved to Chiba Prefecture where Sadaho grew up. Perhaps that location was the inspiration of the publicity people at Toei in 1960 to rename this “new face” – Shin'ichi Chiba. While still a toddler, the family moved to Chiba Prefecture where Sadaho grew up. Arnold Schwarzenegger is back.
Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the “Terminator” star’s upcoming action-comedy series, titled “Fubar.”
“Everywhere I go, people ask me when I’m going to do another big action comedy like ‘True Lies.’ Well, here it is,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement. “‘Fubar’ will kick your ass and make you laugh — and not just for two hours. You get a whole season.”
“Fubar” will show what happens when a father and daughter discover their entire relationship was built on a lie and that they are each CIA operatives. As the two join forces, the eight-episode series will depict themes of family dynamics with humor, action and, of course, spies. The trailer shows Schwarzenegger lighting a cigar, skirting corners and walking away from a literal dumpster fire.
The series marks the actor, former California governor, bodybuilder and all-around action icon’s first TV series.

The Most Dangerous Game season 2 trailer from Roku reveals a first look at the revived Quibi series. The great experiment of Quibi was meant to deliver streaming content via mobile phones in easily-digestible bite-sized bits, but instead of catching on to become the next big internet craze, the service folded less than a year after being launched. But Quibi’s content at least was not lost, as Roku quickly swooped in to acquire its catalog.
While much of what Quibi made had little potential for long-lasting life, its action show The Most Dangerous Game generated enough intrigue to warrant further exploration, and now Roku has dropped a trailer for season 2 of the series.
Christoph Waltz headlines the show’s cast as Miles Sellars, the organizer of the titular most dangerous game. The story was of course inspired by the famous novel The Most Dangerous Game, published in 1924.

Will Gluck is done playing with Peter Rabbit and is ready to return to the romantic comedy genre for a new untitled R-rated comedy. The new project shared exciting casting news on Wednesday, with reports coming in that Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell will star in Gluck’s next movie. The plot is shrouded in mystery. Still, we know Gluck is directing and rewriting Ilana Wolpert’s script.
Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Gluck are producing, with Sweeney producing via Fifty-Fifty Films. Natalie Sellers and Alyssa Altman serve as executive producers through Rk Films.
Gluck is the genius behind the camera for films like Easy A, Friends With Benefits, and the Peter Rabbit franchise. He’s in the throes of developing End of the World, an action comedy he plans to direct and co-write with Chris Brenner. Gluck is also attached to an adaptation of Ubisoft’s hit video game series Just Dance.

It looks like Jean-Claude Van Damme fans will only have one last chance to see him in an action movie. Earlier in 2022, the actor said that his next action movie, What’s My Name, will be the last he ever appears in as an action star. He will play himself in the movie and the story will be inspired by "real elements" of his life.
What's My Name sounds very familiar to one of his highest-rated movies on Rotten Tomatoes, Jcvd. That movie also saw Van Damme play a fictional version of himself. At the end of his career, Van Damme’s most critically acclaimed roles are often semi-autobiographical, as he seemingly tries to escape the world of B-grade action movies that his career eventually spiraled into.
The Last Mercenary (2021) – 58 Stream now on Netflix
The Last Mercenary gave Van Damme a chance to spoof the action movies that he made for two decades.

The Witcher showrunner Lauren Hissrich responds to fan speculation on why Henry Cavill left his role as Geralt of Rivia amid a press tour for the upcoming spinoff TV show The Witcher: Blood Origin. The Witcher is an adaptation of a series of novels by author Andrzej Sapkowski. The Witcher premiered on Netflix in 2019 and quickly became one of the streamer's most popular shows, thanks mainly to Cavill's spellbinding turn as lead Geralt. Now, audiences are in disarray as Cavill announced that The Witcher season 3 would be his last.
Speaking to NME to promote the spinoff The Witcher: Blood Origin, Hissrich touched upon the fans' speculation on why Cavill left The Witcher. According to the showrunner, any reports of unpleasantness between The Witcher team and Cavill are unfounded, as she states their relationship is built on mutual respect. Hissrich also reveals they'll never get into exactly why Cavill left The Witcher,...

'90s kids remember the flashy fashion and hilarious hijinks of Will Smith on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," but the modern remake of the series, "Bel-Air," is not just a massive hit for Peacock, it's also a completely new take on the story of young Will Smith (Jabari Banks) as he adjusts from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of the Bel-Air neighborhood in Los Angeles. The series' humble beginnings are rooted in Morgan Cooper's fan-made fake trailer for a dramatic envisioning of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," but has since evolved into a legitimate hit for Peacock, with Cooper serving as co-writer, director, and executive producer.
The hit series has also breathed new life into the original show for a new generation. As one of /Film's resident writers who spends an embarrassing amount of time on TikTok, the existence of "Bel-Air" has definitely inspired...

Canadian actor and filmmaker Aaron Poole shared the first details of his arthouse father-daughter road movie “Dada” with Variety this week, shortly after wrapping principal photography of the film on Manitoulin Island, located north of Toronto in Lake Huron.
Working steadily in North American TV (“Most Dangerous Game”) and film since the late 1990s, Poole, a classically trained actor, stepped behind the camera for his Toronto-premiering “Oracle” (2020), which was nominated for best narrative short at Slamdance and won the top prize at Montreal’s Festival Du Nouveau Cinéma.
In “Dada,” Poole’s feature directorial debut, James Gilbert and newcomer Ciara Alexys play a divorced father and teenage daughter who drive around the perimeter of a nuclear facility on the eve of the girl’s 16th birthday, playing nonsense games and reading things.

Fresh off the news that Henry Cavill would be returning to the big screen as Superman in future DC movies comes the revelation that The Witcher Season 3 will be Cavill’s last. Indeed, Cavill will be hanging up his wig and sword, with Liam Hemsworth set to join The Witcher as Geralt of Rivia in season 4. This isn’t unexpected, and it is good news for Superman fans. It promises that Cavill’s dance card is about to be filled up with many Man of Steel appearances in the DC universe, as teased by Black Adam.
In a statement to Netflix’s Tudum site, Cavill said:
“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4. In my stead, the fantastic Mr Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf.

Netflix has renewed The Witcher for a fourth season with a twist.
Liam Hemsworth will replace Henry Cavill in the epic drama series, taking the reins as Geralt of Rivia.
The move comes ahead of the third season of the series, which will return in summer 2023. A four-part prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin launches December 25, 2022.
Cavill, who revealed earlier this week he will return in the role of Superman, played the grim Geralt of Rivia, the bane of supernatural beasties in the first three seasons of the drama series.
The Witcher is a story of the intertwined destinies of three individuals in the vast world of The Continent, where humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive, and where good and evil is not easily identified.
It also stars Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan.

With its wide-screen sky and endlessly empty tundra, Lapland makes a surprisingly able analogue for the American West. Finnish director Jalmari Helander is not exactly interested in making Once Upon in Time in Lapland here, but he certainly enjoys the genre’s visual language, huge-canvas landscapes, and weather-beaten faces. After his deadpan Christmas creature feature, Rare Exports, and his pop-rocks riff on The Most Dangerous Game, Big Game, where Samuel L. Sisu is a straight-as-an-arrow romp which is really an excuse to shoot, slice, and dice Nazis in a colourfully outrageous fashion. His regular leading man, Jorma Tommila, also...

Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz will portray legendary Old Hollywood director Billy Wilder in a biographical film from director Stephen Frears, the film’s producer Jeremy Thomas announced Monday.

“Swimming with Sharks” has the makings of a breakout streaming series. There’s identifiable young stars in Kiernan Shipka and Finn Jones, and a strong performance from Diane Kruger. Then there is Donald Sutherland in what might be his most repulsive villain role yet: a Hollywood patriarch who delivers from his literal deathbed some of the show’s most jaw-dropping moments of sexual exploitation (and there are a lot).
Delivering the pulpy indulgence of “You,” the palace intrigue of “House of Cards,” and a dick-pics-per-episode ratio bested only by “Minx,” it would be right at home on many streamers.
