If there’s one thing every sporting event needs, it’s a strong playlist. And if you’re here, it means you’re looking for the one from “Running Point.”
Now streaming on Netflix, the series centers on Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson), who unexpectedly becomes president of the Los Angeles Waves basketball team, which her family has owned for decades. She’s the first female president in franchise history, and obviously, there’s a whole lot of pressure that comes with that.
But if you’re here, you know that. What you’re looking for are the tracklists for each episode. And you can absolutely find those, below!

Kate Hudson helms Running Point, the latest show from Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen as Isla Gordon, an underdog of sorts. She’s the only daughter of Jack Gordon, who had several other sons including Cam (Justin Theroux), Ness (Scott MacArthur) and their half brother Sandy (Drew Tarver).
Isla and her best friend Ali Lee (Brenda Song) are set to make waves (no pun intended) within the professional basketball franchise the Los Angeles Waves, when Isla gets promoted to president of the team. She has all sorts of upstream swimming to do in the role as her brothers doubt her capabilities and the players don’t exactly take her seriously, but she has many tricks up her sleeve, and she has been paying attention to the game since she was a little girl.

The Super Bowl Halftime show is one of the most eagerly-anticipated events of the year, drawing millions of viewers from all around the world to what has become a cultural phenomenon. The tradition of halftime entertainment at the Super Bowl began in 1967 with the marching bands of the University of Arizona and Grambling State University — and The Three Stooges — taking to the field.

Disney Channel has launched the careers of several young actors who are still working in the industry today. Disney stars like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and the Jonas Brothers began their careers in popular Disney Channel shows like Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, or the iconic film Camp Rock, before becoming international superstars. Yet sometimes, child stars have a hard time growing up in the entertainment industry or maintaining the same level of success in their different projects throughout time.
Disney Channel has many original movies and TV shows that have won over audiences worldwide and taken its stars to new levels of popularity. With the success of Disney Channel projects, the stars in these shows and movies gained popularity and big fandoms as well. Exclusive: Netflix is in early development on Pride, a movie based on the 2018 YA novel by Haitian American author Ibi Zoboi. Set in the gentrifying Bushwick area of Brooklyn, NY, Pride centers on Afro-Latina teen Zuri Benitez, who fights to preserve her neighborhood and manage family chaos. But when the wealthy Darcy family moves in next door, Zuri’s disdain for the arrogant Darius Darcy turns into an unexpected connection that forces her to reconsider everything she thought she knew about pride, prejudice and home.

This year marked the 40th anniversary of the first MTV Video Music Awards, a milestone that’s somewhat blunted by the realization that this isn’t your mother’s VMAs. The network handed over the reins to viewers beginning in 2006, letting them pick the winners in all of the main categories. And in recent years, the VMAs have moved even further away from the “video” designation of its name, doling out moonmen for Song of the Year and Song of the Summer.
One thing that hasn’t changed about the VMAs, however, is the opportunity for show-stopping performances, something MTV acknowledged this year with a new Most Iconic Performance category. The winner in that race, Katy Perry, was also bestowed with the semi-annual Video Vanguard award. From Perry flying through the air like a, uh, firework to Madonna rolling around in a wedding dress at the inaugural VMAs in 1984, we...

It took two years for Nicki Minaj to take over the world. Following her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty, she caught the attention of Lil Wayne, who signed her. Minaj became ubiquitous, quickly taking over the charts and winning over rap heavyweights and pop divas with her next-level guest verses.
But it was her debut album Pink Friday and single “Super Bass” that made her a force to be reckoned with across the board. Her pop pivot was a huge risk, especially as she pulled double duty singing and rapping on the hit.

Missy Elliott’s 1997 debut single “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” was a rocket upon release, and now, it’s in outer space.
NASA has transmitted “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” all the way to Venus, which NASA confirms is Missy Elliott’s favorite planet. The 158 million mile transmission was sent at the speed of light via NASA’s Deep Space Network, which is comprised of a set of giant radio antennas based in Barstow, California. Its radio signal took about 14 minutes to reach Venus.
Elliott’s track is not only the first hip-hop song to be sent to outer space — it’s the second track ever to receive the honor, (fittingly) behind The Beatles’ “Across the Universe.”

Being a superstar doesn’t always mean having chart hits.
From massive rock groups and boy bands to iconic vocalists and singer-songwriters, there are countless acts that have managed to inspire generations of entertainers and win over millions of fans without having ever actually notched a No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Over the years, there have been some especially surprising icons who would seem to have a few No. 1s under their belt, but for whatever reason, their songs never managed to wind up sitting at the top spot of the chart.
Not having a No. 1 doesn’t take away from these talented artists’ repertoire, and it’s pretty interesting to see how charts don’t always mean everything when it comes to a musician’s success and impact on the culture.

Missy Elliott celebrated Virginia’s second annual “Missy Elliott Day” in her hometown of Portsmouth by paying $50,000 in past-due rent for 26 families.
According to The Virginian-Pilot, the “Work It” rapper made an appearance at Portsmouth’s Dr. O. Lil Wayne returned to the MTV Video Music Awards stage for the first time in a decade to kick off the show. The rapper welcomed the VMAs to WayneTown with a throwback to his 2018 hit “Uproar” and the live debut of his new single “Kat Food” at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Weezy rapped his way through the crowd while a crew of dancers held it down on the stage. In case anyone forgot that he can really get an audience going, the hundreds of hands up in...

Lil Wayne has released his latest single, “Kat Food”
Built around an ominous beat sampling “Work It” by Missy Elliott, “Kat Food” is a mainly vehicle for Tunechi to lay down some of the fun, hanky-panky-loving rhymes he’s known for. Wayne first started hyping up the song earlier this week on Instagram, sharing a video of a street team putting up posters for a lost “kat” with instructions to “please text Lil Wayne” if it’s found.
The single follows “Kant Nobody,” Wayne’s most recent release from earlier this year, which featured a posthumous verse from Dmx. Both songs are supposedly part of Weezy’s upcoming record The Carter VI, but no release date or further details have been shared.
Some fans have speculated whether Wayne has teased the release date for the new project, though, utilizing numerology in a way that feels similar to how Swifites decode hints from their beloved,...

Former MTV president Van Toffler had the history books on his mind when he asked Madonna to open the 2003 Video Music Awards. Toffler wanted to honor the VMAs’ nearly two-decade legacy with a callback to its inaugural 1984 edition. A lot had happened since Madonna rolled around in a wedding dress during “Like a Virgin” at that first awards show, but she remained the video era’s flagship star. Toffler hoped a plum spot on the program would motivate the Queen of Pop to outdo herself.

In the hours that directly followed the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28 in New York City, Madonna was on a plane to Scotland. Earlier in the evening, she had opened the show with a performance of her new single "Hollywood," accompanied by Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Madonna dressed as a groom, while Spears and Aguilera were her brides. Madonna shared a kiss with each pop star in the middle of the performance. And then she went to Scotland.
A few weeks later, Madonna went on Oprah Winfrey's talk show and expressed being surprised by how much attention the kiss had gotten. "I've been oblivious until this moment," she said. "I had no idea that it was going to cause the ruckus that it caused. It was just a friendly kiss." Wearing a houndstooth skirt suit, she claimed, "I don't know why people are making such a big deal about it.

I wasn’t especially familiar with Liza Koshy’s work on Vine, YouTube, and other social media platforms the first time I covered one of her feature films, but that certainly changed after our brief chat for her summer 2020 release, Work It. A big ball of infectious energy and positivity, it was immediately clear that Koshy’s star was going to continue to soar, and also that she’d be an ideal guest on Collider Ladies Night. Three years later, the time has finally come, and not only did she not disappoint, she far exceeded Ladies Night expectations.

Missy Elliott candidly revealed what inspired her to remain persistent in her early career.

“I seen many strong women in the industry [before] me that made it through,” Elliott, 51, replied, speaking of those whom she looked up to. “[And] my mom was in a abusive relationship so I told her I would make it so I could get her out of that situation.”
“I would make sure she’d never have to work again,” she continued, “that’s what really kept me going.”

The girls of Flo are bringing back the beauty of early aughts R&b. On Thursday, the British trio — Renée Downer, Stella Quaresma, and Jorja Douglas — released their old-school R&b-infused single “Fly Girl,” featuring an iconic verse from Missy Elliott herself.
“‘Fly Girl’ is all about confidence, good vibes and feeling your best. It’s a lively, feel-good song that still incorporates clever lyrics and fire vocals, if we do say so ourselves,” the group said in a statement. “It’s quite literally a perfect fusion of old-school meets modern-day R&b,...

If you didn’t believe us when we said British R&b trio Flo are a rising act to watch, maybe you’ll take Missy Elliott’s word for it. The iconic rapper-singer guests on the group’s new song “Fly Girl,” inspired by the Supa Dupa Fly artist herself.
Despite its name, “Fly Girl” actually references (and samples) another Elliott song, 2002’s “Work It.” “If you a fly girl, get your nails done, get a pedicure, get your hair did,” Flo sing, before adding their own original flair: “You’re telling me I’m pretty but it’s obvious/ I don’t need a man to tell me where the party is.” Blending old school hip-hop production with R&b vocals, the song instantly becomes an empowering girls night anthem — and that’s before Missy lays down a verse of her own.
